Iron-on Question

I have a couple of questions about iron-ons:

1. How long after you print out the transfers do you have to iron them on the shirt? I am going to be printing them out at work and them coming home to iron them on later in the day. Will that be o-kay, or do they have to be ironed on immediately?

2. After you iron-on the transfer, do you have to wash it on gentle cycle and hang dry, or just normal wash and dry?

There is no rush to iron them on. In the past, I have printed them, then a week later trimmed, and a week or two later ironed them. (I was doing 50 and did them in stages)

Since you need to wash the shirts before ironing on, I do not wash again until after the trip - just so they look fresh. I am not sure what everyone else does, and it probably depends on the transfer, but I just regular wash and dry afterwards.

Be careful about printing at work. I was going to do the same thing and my transfers weren't coming out correctly. Why? Because the transfers were for INKJET printers my work printer is LASER and it was "heating" the transfers as they were printing. I ruined about 3 before I figured this out. So, just make sure you either have an inkjet printer or using transfers for a laser printer.
