Irish republic army tell me

what you know? good or bad are they a real army are they terrioists

They're old. The IRA has always represented armed resistance to British rule in Ireland. Perception of this as a good thing or a bad thing changes with the times. When British rule would be harsh, the IRA would be considered an army; the times when British rule was more administrative or political, rather than violent, attacks by the IRA would be considered terrorism.

Any Irish attacks within Great Britain would be called terrorist at any time. Groups associated with the IRA like RIRA (Real IRA) are terrorist. The IRA itself is under terms of a peace agreement from the late 90's. So, each has to make up his or her own mind about them being good or bad.

I suspect the thousands of innocent citizens who were murdered or injured would call them terrorists but also the UVF and UDA would also be classified in the same way murdering and injuring thousands in opposition to a united Ireland.
