Irish cream wine?

Costco sales a bottle of Irish Cream wine. It is 13% alcohol and clearly says “wine” on the label. It is taxed as wine not liquor. I would like to bring a bottle to add to my coffee. Do you think Disney would allow it on board? Of course I would have to find it in a 750ml bottle.

Apparently it's a state-specific thing, depending on whether or not your state allows grocery stores to sell liquor. So interesting!

So, I think the biggest hurdle is going to be finding a comparable product in a smaller bottle (although maybe this is actually a common thing in those states, I don't know). From there, I would guess it depends on who you get at the port. Technically it looks like if it meets these liquor laws, it should meet DCL's policy. But, it's such an odd product, I could see you getting pushback at the port because it looks too much like what is normally a liquor-based product. Up to you how much you want to be in that position - I assume worst case they'd hold it for you and give it back to you at the end of the cruise.

Thank you. I think I am going to try that. Here in Washington their is a very large tax on liquor but much smaller in wine. We have been getting quite a large assessment of liquor masquerading as “wine”.

I have brought cream wine on board before (for coffee). I was stopped going through security, but once I pointed out that the label read "wine" they allowed it through.

You are concerned about the alcohol content? The bottle of Malbec I have open is 14.5% alcohol. The Chardonnay we have is 13.5% alcohol. I believe anything below 23% alcohol can be called wine under federal law.

I have the product. Got it here in Washington at total wine. O’Mara’s country cream. In small lettering it says “grape wine with natural flavors and caramel coloring.” Their were other chocolate options as well. I will find out on Monday if they let it on board but I don’t see why they would not. I will update once I am on board.

So, you want to hear something funny? Earlier today I was looking at a bottle of some random brand of chocolate liqueur (or so I thought) I bought on a whim quite awhile ago but hadn't opened yet. I picked it up to examine it because it occurred to me the bottle was suspiciously wine-shaped, and I remembered this thread. Sure enough, in very small print on the back: "Grape wine with natural flavors and caramel coloring."

Guess I know what I'm carrying onto my next cruise!

Update. In the wonder with no issue with the Irish Cream wine. Was just asked if it was wine. Nothing more. So excited to enjoy some Irish Cream in my morning coffees

Not a wine drinker but I love Baileys!! What does this taste more like? I have never heard of such a thing.
