I have an Ipod nano (4G) and was looking at upgrading to a 5G or an Ipod touch. If I get the Ipod touch, I would only be getting 8gb (I'd only be putting about 50 songs, an audiobook, a few movies and games). Do you like the touch? Are there any dislikes? Should I just stick with the 5G Nano? I just want to make sure I'm getting my $199 worth :thumbsup2

I'm a touch owner and love it!

The applications which you can download from the store some free some costing are great and really handy! Plus the games are sooo fun, addicted to SimCity and Tetris right now.

The internet browser is fab when you can get an wireless internet connection.

I'd say go for it, unless your really in love with the the camera they've put on the nano's

Another adoring iTouch lover here! The internet abilities and apps alone are worth the added price!

I have an 8GB ipod Touch & I love it! I don't have a lot of music on it (maybe 6 or 7 albums worth), several apps (may are free or .99) - I really like the Internet capability (dependent on a wifi connection).:goodvibes

8GB owner here. They are worth the money, only down side it has is that children keep borrowing to listen to podcasts and audiobooks. I have reach the stage that I may have to get a new one for myself as :rotfl2:i never have it when I need it.:lmao:

I think we are about to give DS12 one for his birthday - we got it free with our Mac for school purchase.

Question for current owners: at home, we have cable internet, with a wireless router linking three computers. Will an ipod touch be able to pick up internet through that set-up?

Yes, you should be able to pick up your wireless internet. :thumbsup2

I have the 8g and it's plenty of space for me. I have tons of free apps, as well as a bunch of paid apps. I still also have plenty of space left.

My daughter is on it constantly. Like someone else mentioned, I might have to get myself a new one and give her mine.

I'm giving ds my nano, so hopefully that won't be a problem for me :rotfl2:

Thanks again all!!!

At first I hated mine, but then the App Store opened and now I can't do without it. If I could justify buying a larger capacity one I surely would... I would need about a 100GB one to fit all my music, so maybe in about 5 years that can happen and be reasonably priced.
