Ipod Touch Info ??

On my now. It took me months to decide I wanted one, so glad I got it. It's prolonging the life of my laptop. Makes at home web browsing a bit easier.

I got the 32gb. I have an 8gb nano and knew I wanted more memory. Even now I do regular file moving. I for years fell asleep with the TV on, now I use the touch since it does not require headphones.

Do you mean that you watch tv on it? I truly am clueless as to what can be done on these!

I just bought a 32g 3rd generation Ipod Touch at Staples last week as they were being clearanced out at $148!! I also had a $25 coupon....so I only paid $131....I was so excited as I had wanted an Ipod Touch for so long, but could not really justify buying one. I am just learning what it can do...and it really is incredible. If anyone has any recommendation for games/apps I would love to hear them!

I bought the 8g 3rd generation sometime earlier this year. I love it. My kids (3 and 5 ) love it, with adult supervision. However, I have less than 1g free and I have shows that I can't keep on it and have more movies I'd like to put on. My DH and I have decided that we're going to upgrade me to either the 32g or the 64g we're not sure yet. I love buying the Disney Blu-ray, Dvd, and Digital Download copies of movies and putting the Disney movies on my ipod for my kids to watch.

I keep a few episodes of my favorite shows on it. Things that I've seen tons of times that I don't care if I fall asleep during.

As many have indicated, you can get content, mostly pay - but a few freebies - from the iTunes store. And if you have Netflix, well... there's an app for that. I haven't jumped on it yet, but if you have the right plan you can now stream to your Touch just as you would to your laptop or gaming rig. Truly a wondrous device.

Suzanne, my ds17 has the 8G Itouch that came out before this newest one. We have a netflix account. Do you think he could get netflix movies on his Itouch? He would love that!!!!!!!!! Dumb question- but can you only watch the netflix movies in your house?

I would certainly think he could watch it on an 8g. You do have to be somewhere with wifi access to watch, it doesn't have to be at home. My house is the only place I have been lately with wifi access, but there shouldn't be any problem watching it in another wifi area.

I think that is the only downside is not being able to access some things without wifi, but I will survive and I can always use my Blackberry in a pinch.

I love my ipod touch because it is high capacity. It can do internet and email and even movies. Since I have a netflix account, I can even watch streaming movies from my ipod touch. I especially love the built in speakers that allows me to play music without connecting it to anything.

I love its address book that is also stored in my laptop and I also like an app that allows me to store secure info on my ipod touch.

Went to apple looking to buy one last week and the guy at the genius bar said if i can wait 3 months, their releasing a new iPod Touch around the christmas holiday... So i am holding out a bit longer to see what this new one reveals

They just released new iPod touches this month so I doubt there's a new one coming for Christmas. I believe they are releasing a software update inNovember/December . Maybe that's what he meant?

Wow, this is a very helpful thread, although my "tech-challenged" mind is swimming a bit. Looking for some advice....

I am looking at purchasing my DD12 one of these. She will use it mostly for music, a few movies (I guess), games and I am guessing minimal Internet access. What would be the cheapest one I could get away with, meaning 8g, 32g, etc., what would you all, very informed, I touch owners suggest? TIA!
