Ipod shuffle question

can you add itunes to an ipod shuffle? we have a mini but my neice is getting a shuffle for x-mas and I'd like to give her an itunes giftcard. just making sure its the same as the mini, at least in this aspect.

"itunes" I believe, is just the method of downloading music.

so, of course you can use it with the whole suite of iPod's. (mini/shuffle/nano/video)

My DD has an iPod shuffle. She has only used itunes to download, so she is getting several itunes gift cards for Christmas.
