IPOD Shuffle question

DS's ipod shuffle is doing something strange. When you turn it on, the green and amber lights on the front flash alternately and it doesn't play. Does anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it? When you press the battery button on the back, it is green, so it appears to be fully charged. I am charging it again for him, but not sure that is the issue.

Any ideas?

To reset iPod shuffle:

Disconnect iPod shuffle from the computer (if connected).
Move the switch on the back of iPod shuffle to the off position.
Tip: When iPod shuffle is off, the green stripe by the switch is not visible.

Wait 5 seconds.
Move the switch on the back to the play in order or the shuffle position. The green stripe will be visible in either position.

Thanks, Brad. We tried that many times and it didn't work. Fully charged it again this morning and still no luck. BTW, awesome picture in your siggie!

Have you tried updating the shuffle? They have several updates every month or so.

Also, has he downloaded any songs recently that may not have been in the correct format? That may be the problem.

Go to itunes and delete them off your library and then update the ipod (well actually, it should do it itself).
