Is there anyone who used and ipod stereo for their music at an outside ceremony. How did it work out. I am worried it will seem really cheesy or not be loud enough.

I'd be interested to know this, too...is bringing your own form of music possible?

From what I heard, you have to supply your own music for outdoor events unless you are paying for Disney.

I used my MP3 player hooked up to laptop computer speakers at Commader's Terrace, which would be the equivalent to an Ipod speaker. It worked perfectly. DH was worried that the music wouldn't be loud or clear enough, but it was great. According to my WC this is becoming more and more common for those people who want to have a song of "CD quality" and not played by the violinist.

The one thing you need to think of though, is that some of the wedding coordinators don't feel comfortable operating them or setting them up. I told mine that if she had ANY problems to go to my brother, and he'd set it up.

It all worked out splendidly!

Did you use different songs or just one song and let it play? Did you use it for your first dance too?

I really only wanted it for the first dance and father/daughter dance (I cleared that with my WC because on the schedule it just has the one).

So I set the two songs up in a wedding subfolder and shuffled it so it would play first and then my brother took care of turning it on and making sure it was turned up. So it went from the one song to the next without skipping a beat.

The rest of the music I didn't care what was going on and the violinist was quite nice actually.

The one thing I would recommend though is to bring an extension cord. Just in case the outlet isn't close to where you're going to set it up. It was an issue for me and I was lucky that my brother negotiated with the GF staff to get one for me

HTH!
