help!!! I just deleted all the music from my ipod when i went sync it. Now my new computer did not have all the music that was on the ipod, and now it is gone.. can this be undone, and in the FUTURE, how do i stop it from deleting and be able to select what i want to add as oppose to removing everything i already had on it?

First, a question....

Is there a different computer that has the iTunes that has all of your music your originally used to put on your iPod? If so, then plug the iPod into that computer and sync again. All your music should sync back up with your iPod.

Now...you say the "new computer did not have all the music that was on the ipod"...I'm assuming that you bought a new computer? If this is the case...you need to retrieve the songs (the actual files) from your old computer and put them in the exact same directory on your new computer.

Also...just my advice to you...and everyone who uses iTunes and iPods/iPhones/iWhatevers... UNCHECK the "Sync automatically" button.

Manually manage your music/apps/whatever. Just my 2 cents.

What the PP said. You need to get your old iTunes library back from your old computer. It's found in My Documents\My Music\iTunes. You can copy the whole folder onto a flash drive, then copy it to the new computer.

If the old computer is no longer available, I believe you're SOL. Sorry.

And next time, do uncheck the "Automatically Sync" box on the summary page when your iPod's connected. A warning box will come up -- it's not a bad thing, though!

Best wishes.

As the song goes Na Na Hey Hey Goodbye.... Hopefully your old computer is still working....
