Help! :confused3 I am confused on how to do this and I'm afraid of wiping out all my music if I do it wrong. I updated my computer from Vista to Windows 7. I thought I saved my iTunes files onto my portable hard drive before I did the update, but I don't think I did. I downloaded iTunes onto the computer again, and I synced my iPhone, but it didn't transfer anything other than the aps. How do I get my music back on the computer? I was going to try to sync again, but when I check the box to sync music I get a box pop up that says:

Are you sure you want to sync music? All existing songs and playlists on the iPhone "Cindy's iPhone" will be replaced with songs and playlists from your iTunes library.

I don't have anything showing in my library on iTunes, so if I do this I'm afraid it will erase all of the music on the iPhone and replace it with zip, zelch, nada.

you have to reimport the music into itunes from your external drive that you backed it up on).. itunes will only sync ONE WAY from your computer to your ipod.

Now if you do stil have your music on your ipod, but not on your pc, let me know and I will PM you a tool to use to get your music back.. but whatever you do do NOT Sync your music with itunes or it will be completely wiped out!!!

Is it possible that Windows 7 renamed or relocated your iTunes Library?

Could it still be there but the new iTunes is unable to find it?

That is part of my problem. I thought I had saved and backed up on the external hard drive everything I needed before doing the upgrade, but I must not have saved it right because I don't have any music showing up in my iTunes folders on the computer hard drive.

I haven't synced my music yet and everything is still on the phone. If there is a way to fix this that would be awesome!
