iphone vs. Kodak Playsport

We leave for our trip in three weeks. We have a nice camcorder and a nice Digital SLR camera. But sometimes I don't like lugging around those bulky items espically all day in the park.

I was thinking of getting the Kodak Playsport since it is very compact and does HD video and stills. My DW said that we could just use our iphone 3gs since it does video and take pictures. I know the quality of the video and pictures on the playsport would be better than the iphone, but would it be that much better to justify getting the playsport?

I do not have the new playsport i have used one tho .Some of the thing's it has over the iphone other then video quality is video stabilization. Water proof casing you could get some cool underwater shots in the pool or right before you hit the bottom of splash mountain. The casing is also more rugged then the iphone in case it gets bumped around it's very small so easy to travel with.I plan
on getting one before my trips next year I hope this helps

I also say the Kodak would be better..the iPhone is awesome, I love mine. But, cell phone cameras have limitations.

I have both and plan to take both. That way I always have a backup. I like being able to send my pic immediately with the iphone.
