iPhone power source

We will be in WDW next month and all three of us will be using our phones (MDE plus posting some photos) and we will need a power source. Any suggestions? What have you all used that worked? can one of them charge more than one phone?

From Amazon I got a battery pack 'Teck Net' Branded. Its 13,000mah (thats the capacity) which will charge an iPhone 5S around 5 times. It has 2 USB outputs so you can charge almost anything with a USB lead and 2 at once. I charge my iPhones, iPads, Camcorder, Digital Camera etc etc (Loads cheaper than buying spare batteries for cameras too!)

When looking for them, just look out for the capacity, higher the number the better!

All the parks now have charging stations. I was told there is one in each land of the MK. I used the one in the store behind Space Mountain. You'll have to ask where they are, because I didn't see any signs for them.

My sister has an Anker portable charger that she really likes. It's shaped like an over-sized lipstick.

I use a Anker 2nd Gen Astro Mini 3200mAh lipstick-sized portable charger and I love it. I also have a larger New Trent charger with two USB outputs that's a powerhouse and will charge two devices at once multiple times. But I found it was too heavy to carry around in my tiny cross body bag, so my son and I each bought one of the lipstick chargers. I use my phone as my primary camera and I'm always checking wait times or posting to Twitter. The smaller charger kept me charged all day. It was nice to be able to charge on the go and not have to wait at a charging station for my phone to charge.

It supplies 2.1 amps of power, so it will fast charge your phone. It will also charge multiple devices at once.

I have some sort of portable charger my DH got for free from work. It's the size of a tube of lipstick. I haven't had to use it yet in the parks. To conserve battery I shut most of the stuff off on my phone. I turn off location services & cellular data for all but a few apps. I turn off fetch for mail and any type of updates for apps. I also turn off bluetooth while I'm in the parks. Another thing I do the day before we leave is go into MDE on my laptop and print off the itinerary for each day. It lists all our ADR's w/ confirmation numbers (along with the guests), FP+ times for each member of our party, notes I've made and stuff I've added like parade times and fireworks.

I had a portable one but it doesn't work that great but I always had my cord with me and found lots of outlets to charge on our Spring break trip. If you are in the LAND at Epcot at Sunshine Seasons....there is an outlet near where you get your condiments. I always charged there when we got a snack. I know where the exact table is. LOL In the bldg. where the COKE station is and the StarBucks also at EC...you can walk thru to get to the other side...there are lots of outlets there. IN MK we found them in the outside dining area as you walk to Tomorrow Land frome the Plaza Restaurant corner. YOu would be surprised at how many outlets there are.

Kind of related but for wherever you are staying. Take along a power strip. That way at night while sleeping you can be charging all your phones, cameras etc. at the same time and in the same place. Makes it easier when you are rushing out the door in the morning to get everything together. Not only that if staying in a hotel they are sometimes limited/hard to reach outlets so it makes it easier to get everything charged.

Makes it easier when you are rushing out the door in the morning to get everything together. Not only that if staying in a hotel they are sometimes limited/hard to reach outlets so it makes it easier to get everything charged.

This is really good advice. I really hate reaching behind the nightstand and under the desk to find an outlet. You're also less likely to forget to pack chargers/cords when they're all in the same place.

We always pack a power strip, but we will definitely need another power source while in the parks and if I can avoid having to stop and let my phone charge I would like to be able to do that.

It's permanent place is inside our carryon so we're never without it.

It comes in incredibly handy in airports, airport lounges, and most importantly, hotel rooms with lousy outlet locations - which is most of them

My husband has a big square battery that will charge his phone like 4 or 5 times, but it's even bigger than his phone, and very heavy, so I don't like that kind because I don't want to carry something so huge.

I would buy 3 portable chargers plus bring 3 cables. You can use your phone while it's plugged in, but if you use 1 charger for 2 or more phones then someone has to carry both phones. When I know I will be using my phone a lot for a long period I usually bring one small lipstick size charger and then one with more capacity in my backpack or a locker as a backup. If a friend needs a charge I'll give them what's left on the lipstick or smaller charger because I have the backup available for me. The bigger the capacity, the heavier it is to carry around. Also, bring a power strip for the room plus 3 cables to charge the chargers. Over night you're going to want to charge both the phones and the charger and you don't want to wake up in the middle of the night to swap things out because you only have 1 cable.

My work gave me an anker astro e7 for travel. Thing works great and can charge multiple items (charged both my iPad and iPhone) with some charge left over. Highly recommend that if you need to charge multiple items.
