Iphone podcast playing too quickly??

It is bound to be something I have done but when listening at podcasts (any) on my iPhone they are playing at a slightly too high speed. Not chipmunk tempo but just like someone who is in a rush to say something. They are listenable but it is annoying. Music is playing at normal speed - any help - please??

There's a speed option just under the progress bar on the right hand side. You want it to say 1x. Keep tapping until you get to 1x

Hi and thanks so much for helping. I don't seem to have a progress bar - I have a rewinf, play / pause and fast forward but under that it is a bar which seems to adjust the volume - it is an iPhone 3G - I am trying to tap all around this screen bt can't find the speed button -- sorry I am wick with these things!!

Well the tapping has been successful and I have uncovered a progrss bar and managed to change the speed!! YAY! Thanks so much and what a helpful first post

It's a very convenient feature. I always speed it up when they have listeners reading their emails, questions and stuff.

Glad you found it..*I* on the other hand, went to the apple store to have them look at it when I had the same issue.
Yeah, felt like a moron when the guy there showed it to me.

Love it. Now before I had these boards I would have done something like that too.

Now I just post all my problems and someone comes along to sort it out - usually within a few minutes! Perfect.
