iPhone on CC?

maybe I am in a minority here,, but I am kinda looking forward to no data service/calls/etc for our May sail,,, I might be a bit itchy by our 4th day when we get off but I am not gonna worry about it,, once we pull out, I plan on turning the cell service OFF!
Now for a week I might be a bit more encouraged to explore these other international plan options.

There is a cell tower on CC. It looks like a palm tree and as you approach the beach you can see it off to the right. Can't miss it because it looks so fake.

My iphone worked on CC and was roaming. I had 5 bars the entire time.

We were at CC on February 11, and did not get off the ship. We had no cell coverage. My iPhone said "No Service" the entire time we were at port.

I added the international plan (minutes and data) before we left.

Apparently, I am in the minority but I found it very strange that we had no cell service that day.

Remember, Steve said you have to hold it a funky way or else you block the antenna!!

I was on Castaway Cay last month and can confirm that mobile service (GSM) from Bahamas Telco works very well...I pre-suscribed through Bell Mobility in Canada...$2.30 per minute...
