Iphone - DISboard issues

I don't understand what is going on. My iPhone keeps opening up App Store while I am reading the posts on DISboard's. I'm not touching ANYTHING or making weird movements. I just want to relax and read a little, post a little maybe I have a NYE cruise coming up soon. This keeps up and I'm just going to watch TV to relax.

Pardon me but is your a IPhone clean? I have had they, clean it and it works.

I honestly don't know if it's dirty or not. I only know that this is only happening on DISboards and not on any other app I have. It happened again from the time that I posted initially and just now.

I have had it on two forums here and digital spy, and the same similar thing.

Seriously! I just want to reply to this quote and got switched over to App Store again! GRR. So Is DISborders doing this to make money off the app store or were we hacked by something.

I know the issue, my suspicion is that it has something to do with the adds on the page. I have had it with other websites, too. It usually happens when the add is for some kind of game and the app store opens for exactly that game.

I would recommend to post about it on the tech support board instead of here on the cruise board. You might get more knowledgeable replies from there! Here the cruise experts hang out!

Try turning your phone totally off for about 5 minutes wipe off the glass screen till no more finger prints. Then turn the phone back on.

Not sure if it will help but turning it off is the first and easy answer

Tried that, then as I tried to open the DISboard App it crashed when opened.

I think there's an issue with ads, also. In the last 2 or 3 days, my computer is running slower and locking up (only when I'm on DISboards).

I've seen an address bar at the bottom of my screen with some sort of adlink address on it when this happens.

Adblock Plus on Chrome. No adds, no issues.

This has been happening to me, too, only on my iphone app. Nice to know it's not something I'm doing!

This is also happening to me. It just started a few days ago. My phone is only about two weeks old and I only have w hand full of apps so I really don't think it has anything to do with the phone.

Dear moderators I ask one favor of you please please please. Please mention to anyone that has power, to reach anyone that has the knowledge to make a the change necessary to fix his problem. Please ask them to check this thread with our descriptions of the problem to help them. You'll know this is fixed when the thread magically disappears. In the meantime I assure you we will ALL comment as frequently as necessary with regard to this problem with so much detail they can't help you fix it!

Honest question from a new smart phone user. Why not just use the browser on your phone and just skip the app?
I have the DIS APP on my Android, and it seems to work fine, but just using the browser and going straight to the regular website seems better.
Same with every APP I have tried, I just as soon go to the web site through a browser. Thanks.

I've had the same issues also. It is not an issue with the screen being dirty. I can click to open a thread and have my hand completely off the screen and it will switch to the App Store and open the page for the game being advertised within the disboards app. Very frustrating!

I continually have issues where I am unable to enter into the boards. It tells me I am timed out and unable to load. I would guess it is once a week. It doesn't happen when I use them through safari just the app.

I would do that if there was a mobile version of the website. As far as I know, the app is the only way to access a version that's suitable for a smartphone screen (for long-term regular use anyway).
