iPhone Apps

Can you please recommend your favorite iPhone apps for both DL and DCA? We have the apps for WDW down pat but the last time we were in Disneyland several years ago, we didn't have iPhones.

I am looking for a good app for menus as well as realistic wait times.

I always like to hear what DIS Boarders suggest. You guys are great!

I use and would recommend mousewait for both wait times and menus for sure. The times are entered by users, so there is some margin of error, but I've found it to be pretty spot on almost any time I go. It will tell you the last time someone entered a time so you can figure out if it's close or not.

It's got tons of cool extra features too, like a radio with real park audio, entertainment guide, closest restroom, hidden mickey checklist, etc...

I'm a big fan of the layout/interface of the Touring Plans app, but you do have to pay a little for full functionality. I think it's worth it at both WDW and DLR. I've also heard good things about Mousewait.

Also, if you plan to use your iphone much at all, I definitely recommend investing in an external battery charger. The one we got can charge our phones (we each have a 5S) up to 4 times fully before the external needs recharging. We just throw it in our diaper bag and let our phones charge when they get low while we walk around. I LOVE it. (We got the 15600mAh size, but you can get bigger ones that will last for more charges between having to recharge. Ours lasts usually 2 days worth of recharging at the parks.)

That's a great idea. Is it very heavy? We won't have a stroller so I'd have to carry it in my bag.

I agree about the external charger. We got one about the size of a lipstick case and it has two full charges in it. We just recharge it at night.

I don't know about the aps, but I found most of the wait times at DL and DCA (posted at the entrance of rides) to be extremely wrong. Most of them were over stated, I found which was a nice surprise when a 30 minute wait turned into 15 or so.

It's about 1lb, so not too bad. It's a little heavy when I have it in my purse and forget about it, but that's just because I hardly keep anything in my purse normally!

It doesn't have wait times or menus, per se, but if you haven't already downloaded it, these very DISboards have an app ... so you can post questions or reference threads on in a mobile optimized interface.

There is a also a nice Disneyland explorer app ... which is AMAZING on iPAD. it has pictures or videos of attractions, plus some have little games. My kiddo finds it a great time killer.

not exactly what you asked for, but cool DLR apps nonetheless.

MouseWait was spot-on in terms of accuracy on our recent trip. Loved it!

Is that the free app? I downloaded mousewait, but it was free and want to make sure that it has all of the features. I also have Touring plans which I was use to using that one in WDW so I"m hoping that one will be helpful for DL. Had to pay a small fee for that one.

Thanks to everyone. We downloaded Mouse Wait and can't wait to use it. Has anyone had any experience with Mouse Time or Mouse Addict?
