Well I just got my LONG awaited iPhone!!! And I'm setting everything up. What are the must have apps? Including ones for budgeting? I've already DLed my Bank of America app...:cool1:

you're welcome just do not get as addicted to them as I am :rotfl:

I love the free ones because if they are bad or just useless you can just remove them from your phone.....iphone is only set up to hold 11 pages of apps I hope the next upgrade they increase that ;);):rolleyes1

I also like Classics2go some of the books are free and I like how it looks like you are turning the page of a book

I forgot to mention one of my favorites for beautiful wallpaper is Backgrounds

Actually, it can hold more, up to your available memory, but you will need to use the search function to access them. So even when you have 180 apps, you can keep on downloading them! -- Suzanne

Sorry I did not make myself more clear, sure but you would have to be able to remember everything over the 176 you can see :rotfl:

I would prefer to see the icon but that is just me.

You can download all 100,000 + apps to your itunes account if you want and store them there but you will only at this time be able to see 11 pages of apps or 176 on your phone and if you have a great memory search for any over that you have stored on your phone.

I prefer to see the app not search for it is what I meant.

My absolute favorites are
SHAZAM -- you can identify a song you hear on the radio, tv or whatever and it will tell you the song, album and artist :thumbsup2

PANDORA INTERNET RADIO...you type in an artist name and it plays related music:banana:

Oh yes, I have the Kindle app already one of the very first ones I put on there!

I have a Verizon Motorola Droid, but I'm sure that most of the same apps are available for iPhone.

Some of my faves (all free):
Accu Weather and The Weather Channel (similar, but I'm still figuring out which one I like best)
Advanced Task Killer Free (closes down unused applications to help keep your battery from draining faster)
Backgrounds (great wallpapers)
Barcode Scanner and Shop Savvy (very similar, but I'm still trying to figure out which one I like best...these are great for comparison shopping)
Calorie Counter (has restaurant calories too)
Cat Sounds (this freaks my cats out, lol)
Dilbert (comics!)
Healthy Recipes (by SparkRecipes.com)
Facebook
i Music and Imeem Mobile (search for specific songs, listen for free, download for free)
Movies (reviews, showtimes, etc)
My Coupons
Nubi News (good news portal)
Shazam (can identify any song playing, gives you title, artist, etc)
Slacker Radio (similar to Pandora Radio, but I like this one better)
Tip Calculator
TV.com (I don't think that works on the iPhone though?)
Useless Facts
Where (works with the GPS built into the phone, will locate different places, give directions, etc)
Wiki Mobile (Wikipedia)
YZ Free (Yahtzee game...I'm addicted to it, lol)

I recommend browsing the App Store, and looking at the most popular free apps. Download what looks interesting, try it out, and then choose to keep it or delete it. There are apps that you pay for too, but I haven't had the need for any yet.
