Can anyone recommend an iPhone app that will help me with run/walk? Something that will signal when to switch from one to the other. Thanks..

Runkeeper will let you set any interval and if you use the GPS function keep track of your distance and pace. You use your own playlist. I've trained for several half marathons with this one.

The best app I have used is the Lolo 13.1 app with Jeff Galloway. It does the intervals, keeps track of the pace and adjusts your own playlist songs to play faster during the running intervals -- it's a subtle change, not like the Chipmunks. There is a limit to the interval settings and it is expensive. Galloway also coaches you through the run. I like hearing him speak.
Lolo also have a 5K and 10K apps.

I have a Lolo app for the treadmill but I'm not a fan of the treadmill so I don't use it.

I also have one called Interval Run that I tried but do not like at all.

Like everything else with running, it takes awhile to find what works for you! :goodvibes

Like this I'll check these all out but looking for something that will work with walking calculate mileage GPS wise and estimate calorie burn from it etc. Oh and track progress. Preferably something I can have a prompt for not running but "interval" walking faster or something until my body is ready to run. I think at my 318 its rather dangerous to think about running.

I use Seconds Pro for the timer. I paid for the 4.99 version and I can set the times and sounds. I use it with my Nike+ GPS app.

If you just want to use the GPS app, you can adjust the intervals that they give you updates. That would be your signal to switch.

I am currently using the active.com C25K app and love it. I also have downloaded and heard great things about run keeper sand Nike +. I use Pandora for music while using the C25K app.

I use an app called Nike Boom, though I think its now NPT Boom. It times my intervals, allows for warm up and cool down time, and it was free. Its worked well for me.

I don't know any app regarding your wish but i can suggest you one travel app which is very attractive and informative if you are planning for Poland travel then must visit Poland Travel App.

I have used C25K and really like it. It works on time and not distance. Also nike+ is also fun but not very accurate. It usually adds to what you have actually ran. On the good side, athletes will do a voice over when you reach goals.
