ipad mini question

Do you need to put on an antivirus program on an ipad mini? I bought one for my father who is learning how to use it and I am afraid that he might click on something he shouldn't.

I don't think they even make an antivirus for ipad products....

I wasn't sure if they did make antivirus products for ipad. I was just wanted to make sure since the ipad is new to me.
