What is the best way to save money on a new ipad puchase?

Apple tightly controls prices. Best deal I can come up with is a shopping rewards site that gives 1.5% back for the apple store.

you can wait till black friday and see if maybe they will have them on sale.

They will not have them on sale until the demand decreases by a huge degree. They may offer refurbs at some point on apple.com but if you want one any time soon they won't be at a deal.

Get a job with Apple and use your employee discount.
Or make really good friends with an Apple employee.

Although I am not sure everyone gets the same deal.

The friends and family discount is 10% and employees can use an unlimited number of those, I have never checked the iPad but it is 10% on most items. There should be an be education discount if you know anyone that qualifies for that.
