iPad Airplane Seatback Mount

Any suggestions for a hands-free mount for iPad Pro 12.9”? We will be flying Southwest, but hoping to find a universal mount as DH and I plan to fly to Europe next year.

Haven't found one. A few flights had a holder for a phone, but nothing for an iPad.

I doubt you're going to find anything. Depending on the case you have for your tablet, you might be able to put the "flap" behind the tray table and then shut the tray table. The last time I flew, I just used the built in angle on the case, and held it on my lap until I could put the tray table down.

No idea where you can buy them, but they sure are nice. Our American flights to St Lucia had them built in, so convenient!

Put the strap around the tray table and then lock it in the upright position. The angle may still be wrong, but putting something under the "bottom" of the table might give you enough tilt.

My preferred one though is a Car Seat Cinema case, unfortunately they don't appear to be made anymore. But there are pictures of them online and you may be able to find something similar or make something.

If you get one of the newer airplanes that don't have the old style tray but have the slots instead, you'll need something like a caribiner clip or a Nite Ize gear tie to clip it to the seat back.

I have a friend who has had great success with this homemade method ( https://www.pinterest.ca/pin/754141900081538145/ ) on an airplane. For planes with the traditional seatback tray they string paracord between the two carabiners. For the newer seatback style with the slots they clip the caribiners to the slot. They bring an extra bag in case of bag failure. I think they use the freezer bags, but am not certain -- try at home to make sure you can use the device through the bag.

Finally, we have an Aquapac tablet case ( https://aquapac.net/product-category/waterproof-ipad-kindle-cases/ ) that one could apply the same principle to. We got it for its waterproof properties and haven't tried it as a tablet-holder-on-airplane
