I just got an IPAD 2 and I'm having problems finding a cover. I don't want the Smart Cover because I want something to protect the back. Does any one have a case for the "2" that they really like and didn't cost as much as the IPAD itself, LOL?

Unfortunately there are very few, if any cases at brick and mortar stores yet for the 2. I use a smart cover and a skin on the back to protect it. I like to keep mine as slim as possible. I store it in a sleeve when not using it. There are many covers online for order, but I haven't seen any of them in person yet.

I had the smart cover and returned it because I hated it! Then I got another cover and that one was just as bad. I have been searching everwhere, stores, online and haven't found anything! It makes me miss my first gen ipad, I loved the case I had for it! When I went to the Apple store they said it will be awhile before more cases come out. In the meantime I don't have any cover on my ipad 2 at all and I don't even take it out of the house because I am so scared it's going to get scratched! My DH said he found some options on ebay that might work for around $40 which isn't bad but I haven't checked them out yet. Is it too much to ask Apple to make their Apple iPad case for the iPad 2? At this point in time, probably the best all-around case is the Switcheasy Canvas (http://www.switcheasy.com/products/CANVAS_iPad2/).

It protects front and rear as well as sides. Has the magnetic cover that works like the Smart Cover as well as a latch to keep the cover closed. Has multiple viewing/using angles as well. It also comes with 2 plugs (to keep out dust/dirt) for the earphone jack as well as 2 plugs for the bottom. Lastly it also comes with a screen protector (clear plastic film).

Thanks everyone! I'm going to look into all the choices. I had to buy something quick because I was going on a trip. I ended up buying a case at target for the original iPad by apple to hold me over until I find a case that isn't crazy expesive but slim and protective. I have to admit I like this case a lot. I just wish there were openings for the back camera and volume. I'm hoping they redesign one just like it for the 2. I think another poster mentioned the same thing

I did finally see a couple of cases specifically for Ipad 2 at Target today, one of them was actually really cute!

I have the smart cover and while it's fine for home use, it won't work if I wanted to travel with it. I saw this one at brookstone and it looked sturdy and I also love the fact it has a regular keyboard, for when I'm typing long entries .
