Ip-Dips and MNSSHP an October pre-tr - Updated 6/1 - New plans posted

:scared1:

87 reports!

(But mine was your favorite right?)

How do you have time to do anything else?

i totally understand you going! i would find any excuse possible to go back. if it weren't for ray and i trying to start a family this year (and no, i'm not pregnant - we're not going to start trying until i get back from NYC because i want to get my drink on while i'm there - haha!), i would be trying to think of something myself! :rotfl: but thus, i have to wait until december 2010. i'm okay with that right now but i'm sure this time next year i will be having some serious disney withdrawals. hopefully i'll be very pregnant and distracted.

Yeah I understand too. By the time I get back to the world, it will have been a year since last trip. Hopefully the new house will keep my mind from it.

One of our 08 world vacations was a no park trip and it ranks as one of my fave vacations there of all time.

Now Mrsk and Bill were not going to go. They had plans for later in the month and the beginning of November. I used my jedi ways and they switched there trip to go. I knew they wouldn't be able to resist the great people that will be there.

I should be very, very, mad at you Scott!! ;)

But, I'm glad you're all planning such a great Meet!!

Kathy

No parks!? I'm curious to hear these plans...
that was last Octobers trip. This trip is parks, parks and more parks.

pre tr and tr;s. it is frightening. Yes it was. :goodvibes

:rotfl2: the reason for not trying now. :thumbsup2
I look very pregnant but it doesn't distract. :confused3

I think the move in 2 weeks and the September trip to Europe should be distraction enough, but my mind keeps wondering.
I had a blast seeing resorts mostly. I did go to Epcot for 1 day last year but the rest was exploring parks. This time though it will be parks every day.

Sorry. :flower3: please forgive me.

anna and i are going to watch several new york-based movies before we go on our trip. right now our list includes muppets take manhattan, sex and the city and when harry met sally. i'm sure we will add MANY more in the next month!

you are SO SILLY!!!! :rotfl:

Do you ever really need a reason to go, scott??? :)
No, but I am discovering new places. This year is London and Paris, next year we are doing Italy for 10 days.

Yes you must. If you want a good place for brunch with all you can drink margaritas, bloody Mary's or mimosa's let me know. It is only on the weekend and only $14.95

I try to be.

This has me puzzled. :confused3

I am thinking I am going to drive down. Leave Thursday the 8th and see if Rob and Kymmie (Happy Birthday Kymmie) want me to pick them up and then get to Disney in the morning.

Now, if I drive by myself I will most likely stop in Georgia at a hotel and then get up early and be at Disney early. I am in no rush to get there early, that is the night of the Halloween party so I do not plan on any parks that day but I would not mind going to DTD and doing the balloon.

Now I just looked at flights

Jetblue = $384.20

:scared1:

Now driving here are the results.

Start City: NY, New York City
End City: FL, Orlando
Round-Trip:
2166 Miles
77.36 Gallons Used
$164.64 Fuel Cost

$220.00 less than flying. That is a lot of Lapu's and Grey Goose Slushy's I could have.

So this is my dilemma and it will not resolved anytime soon unless airfare goes down drastically.

Stay tuned. I will update once I know for sure but driving down does sound the better way to go.

If you flew down, would you leave a day later? Because if you would, then you need to add the hotel in GA to your cost of driving down. You know I love to drive, but it isn't always the cheapest the option.

You know the old saying "Time is money". Don't forget to calculate the time into the equation. Flying may be more expensive but it saves you time. Plus your time is worth money. You could be working, or running errands, or better yet spending an extra day on your vacation being on vacation and not in transport.

Not that I don't like driving. I do. It's just that I live farther away than you and generally travel with three kids. It cuts down on the enjoyment factor exponentially.

I'm more of a convenience over money sort of thing. I dread driving to Orlando when its 3 and so hours away! lol I can't imagine driving from NY! I would much rather fly, relax, someone else is driving, be there in 2 hours!

I don't know how much of a pain it would for you to fly out of White Plains but the flights from Friday to Wednesday (October 9-13) are $100 cheaper. Just letting you know!:thumbsup2

If it was you driving by yourself, there is the hotel cost on the way down and the way back.

Oh and thanks for putting it in Bill's head about trying the balloon the first day we are there :scared1:.

Oh okay....so you are doing parks! Cool. I'd so drive if I were you. You were telling me how much you miss driving down. Plus if you split the drive/gas/etc with friends it's even less! I'd totally do it. You think like me...that extra $ would buy some nice drinks! :thumbsup2

If I flew I would leave Friday, If I drove I would leave Thursday and arrive Friday with driving straight through. No hotels.

I am thinking I would love to drive down and see the country. Not sure. These will be things to think over.

Yeah, that.

See I don't relax on planes and I look like I crapped myself and then I am so stiff when I get off from clutching the seat and sitting in one spot and not moving. :rotfl2: sad but true.

well that is something that could be doable, maybe. Thanks for the info.

nope, straight through.
your welcome. :rotfl2:

that is what I am thinking. I will think it over. Thanks
I do love driving.

I will be doing the dining plan again.

Of course this plan might change but it might not with the shorter amount of time to think about it and my mind is on Europe so this might actually keep.

Day 1
CS meal
This could be at Ray's or Pinocchio's.

Day 2
CS at Riverside Mill
Lunch at Le Cellier (Maybe with others for an Enchanted meet)
F&W fest for dinner.

Day 3
Donalds breakfast at Tusker House
CS at Flame Tree (I have yet to eat here)
Ip-Dip at 'Ohana

Day 4
CS at Riverside
Maybe a sandwich at DTD.
Dinner at home or at airport if delayed.

Hopefully I get the ones I will try for. I do want to try Le Cellier but if not it is ok, I can have the soup at the booth outside for the F&W festival.

Up next...

What parks on which days.

You must be talking about going to the Earl of sandwich for your downtown disney sandwich right? I love that place almost as much as I love the cheddar cheese soup at le cellier. Yumm. I think it must be lunchtime. I'm getting hungry.
