Hey Guys,

My newly married Wife and I are going on a cruise that leaves out of Florida on July 24 and want to go to Universal Islands of Adventure for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter on July 23. We are staying at the Loews Royal Pacific so we can get in early and get the express pass.

I am hoping someone with experience can give us some pointers on how to plan our day since we are only going to have the one. The only thing we have not purchased yet is our tickets, I was hoping to maybe get a set off of Craigslist, as here in California that is generally the way to go. Is this too much of a risk in Florida?

I think we are going to try and use or reservation to get breakfast at the Three Broomsticks. Is that worth it? Also, generally how do people get from the airport to their hotels? Are there shuttles or do people just get rental cars? Any and all tips and tricks will be helpful!!

Thanks,
Jeff

to the DIS! I can help on this section only. But never fear...someone else will come along and help you with the other sections. :thumbsup2

Whenever you purchase theme park tickets online from Ebay or Craigslist, you are taking a huge risk. There is no way to determine if the tickets are valid until after you've paid and then it could be too late. You should stick with one of the reliable ticket sellers that offer discounted tickets like AAA, Costco or Undercover Tourist for your theme park tickets.

Since you're staying onsite and will have early entry, make sure you take advantage of it. Then you could basically do whatever you wanted since you will have unlimited Express.

Are you planning on both parks or just IOA?

Thanks for the response!!!

We are definitely hoping to get in both parks in one day, but know that is a giant undertaking :) We will probably start with IOA and buy for just that park and then if we have the time, upgrade our tickets and hit US and spend whatever time we have left over there.

Yeah...it's gonna be tough but you've got a good plan.
