Would you take a 2.5 yr old to Islands of Adventure? I'm a huge coaster fan & adrenaline junky so I know I would have a great time but I worry that there's not enough to for us to do w/DD as a family. I would hate to have her spend the day just waiting around for us to ride adult rides. At WDW, we go on quite a few rides as a famly and DH & I go on a few of our favorite bigger rides while the other person waits w/DD, but we mostly go on family rides. I don't know that IOA has enough family rides to make the day worthwhile. What are your thoughts?

Tough call...I would say if you have an adult patient and nice enough to wait with the little one then it could be worth it.

They have a small play area in Seuss land and also the Jurassic park dino area could be cool(its also inside), and Me ship the olive to play in. So there are things that can be done while you guys do the rides.

Other then the Seuss land, Iirc there is rly nothing else for someone that young to ride. So it could be a challenge keeping the little one busy.

I would say if your gonna do it then staying onsite would be very beneficial so the adults can take turns watching and keeping the baby busy and when it gets too bored or hot then walk back to hotel for a dip in pool or a nap.

The above could work with staying offsite but the onsite would also supply you with shorter lines so less time apart from the baby.

Since its free for the baby to enter the park I would say its worth it only if you have time to experience everything and adults who are willing to forgo some of their own fun to tend to the baby.
