IOA questions for Harry Potter fans that don't like coasters

We'll be staying at Disney for a whirlwind 4 day trip the first week in November, and would like to go to IOA one day while we're there. DS8 and DH are big Harry Potter fans, and that's our main goal.

Both of my DS's are NOT roller coaster kids.

I understand we should get to IOA as soon as it opens and head to Harry Potter then, anything else we should do at IOA while we're there that doesn't involve coasters?? I'm hoping since we're going at a slow time, we'll be able to see most of the park that day, especially if we aren't doing coasters??

We've never been to IOA, and last time I went to US it was 14 years ago.

Spiderman, Popeye and Bluto's Bilge Rat Barges, Dudley Do Right's Ripsaw Falls, Jurassic Park River Adventure, Poseidon's Fury, The Eighth Voyage of Sinbad, The Cat in the Hat.

I am not a coaster fan either, but find plenty to do at IOA. Also, the Harry Potter ride is great, but I found it a little intense, considering at some points that your body is completely horizontal, if not more inverted.

Great ride, but every time I ride it, I come out of there a little dizzy!

Also, I almost lost the iPhone in my pocket while riding it. It fell on the seat and was moving around, and I tried desperately with my legs to hold the iPhone from falling...so I would recommend putting your belongings in closed pockets rather than open ones.

From what I have read, the wand shop in WWOHP gets very crowded quite early in the day, so try and work it in early. It isn't a ride, but it is an experience that HP fans will enjoy.

Also do not forget about the entire Jurassic Park area, Pteranodon Flyers is one of my daughters (age 7) favorite rides.

And the kiddie coaster in HP world. It is not scary at all. Very much like the Barn Stormer at Disney, it has a few turns and lasts about 30 seconds. I have horrible motion sickness and even I managed 3 times in a row on this before I had to call it quits.

You could probably get everything in and head back to Disney in the same day, but I think it would be cutting it a little close if you really want to do everything in IOA.

Each theme park really is a full day, but you could probably get by if you're there at opening and skip some of the more minor attractions (like the Jurassic Park Discovery Center, stores, etc.).

November will have shorter park hours so I would skip the Disney dinner and stick around CityWalk for a nice dinner once you've finished the park. No sense in rushing too much.
