IOA on a Saturday or Sunday? What type of pass?

Okay, I realize this question is like asking if you like Fred or George Weasley better :) but I'm wondering if anyone has a thought about whether it would be better to go to IOA on a Saturday or Sunday, specifically August 21 or August 22?

We're going to Orlando for 7 days and staying at WDW Pop Century for the free dining plan, but based on our arrival and departure dates, times we when could make certain dining reservations, and maximizing time at WDW using the EMH (not to mention the car rental situation), it turns out the only days open in our vacation to go to US and IOA are Saturday and Sunday. I'm thinking (hoping) that US won't be as crowded because so many people will be at IOA trying to see the WWOHP. I was leaning towards going to IOA on that Sunday, thinking that perhaps local FL residents would be preparing kids for school the next day, although that doesn't take care of the tourists like us.

I'm also wondering if perhaps we should get the type of pass that will allow us to hop between US and IOA. Originally, we were thinking of just getting a 2-day/1 park a day pass, but now I'm thinking it might be good to have the option to hop to IOA to maximize our WWOHP time. DH has never been to either park and I haven't been to US since 1995--so basically it will be completely new for me, too. :goodvibes We plan to get there very early AM and will stay until the parks close.

Any suggestions are appreciated!

For that weekend...I don't think it's going to make a whole lot of difference between the two days so I would suggest going whenever it's better for you.

The tickets with the park hopping option aren't that much more expensive so just stick with those...you will probably enjoy yourselves more knowing you can park hop.

Thanks...I figure it will be busy, but just wondered if perhaps one day would be better than the other!
