Looking at the weather forecast, it looks like a bit of rain in next few.days. How does this affect rides like Hagrids, Velocicoaster, and Hulk?

Those 3 will close during actual rain for sure. Have you been on a fast coaster in rain?

I have experienced Hagrids in a legit downpour. In addition to rain pelting you at 50+mph being unpleasant, you can't see anything at all, can't hear much, and it quite completely ruins the experience. It was memorable but not in a good way....

IOA outdoor rides were closed for about an hour yesterday around 6 due to lightning. Was tracking lightning strikes using weather app during that period and it reported strikes within 3, 5, 8 and finally 11 miles before Dudley Ripsaw Falls reopening around 6:30. Thought that was good customer service given park was only open til 7.

Makes complete sense. Just wasn’t aware of the “official” policy. 🙏

I believe Hagrid's is affected(influenced) by the rain. May want to do Bourne Spectacular alot. Worth it.

It is more a question of lightning than rain as far as closing rides. Hagrids was closed yesterday along with other outdoor rides when a rainstorm passed through, even though no lightning/thunder could be observed, there were strikes a few miles away.

This. I was there in early Tuesday on a light but wet rainy day (it lightly rained starting at 11am and did not end until the middle of the night, there were some heavy patches but it was mostly just wet out) with no lightning in the area, so the only ride that went down was Hulk. Even with it being light rain, hagrids and velocicoaster can be uncomfortable if the rain hits you in the eyes. If the rain is coming down hard and fast more rides are likely to close.

Thunder and lightning is what they respond to. If it's just rain, than the rides outside will keep going, Usually. If there's even a suggestion of lightning these will shut down.
