At this point it's looking like our trip to Orlando will be Jan. 31st to Feb. 10th..

When we were there in 2001 we did Universal but not IOA.. My grown DD would really like to take the little one to IOA this trip around but I know SOOOOOO many of the things for little kids involve getting "mildly" wet - or very wet..

With the temps being so "iffy" at that time of year, would it be a waste of money to go to IOA?

other than the curious george area at US, and me ship the olive at IOA I can't think of anything that involves getting wet (well 1fish 2 fish but follow the directions to avoid th water). In fact both trips my DD cried because she too little to ride any of the wet rides.

All of Seuss landing is perfect for a 5 yr old. SO is the play area in Jurassic park. Flying Unicorn is a great kids coaster. Spiderman is iffy. DD loves it, but I could see how a other could not like it. Same with Poseidon's Fury.

DD loved IOA at 2 1/2 and 4 1/2. Her favorite ride however is ET at US.

I think they turn the water off on One Fish Two Fish in the winter months.

He could go on Cat in the Hat, One Fish Two Fish, the Caro-Suess-ell, Flying Unicorn, JP Discovery Centre and Triceratops walk (if they are open), the Jurassic Park Playground, The Pteranadon Flyers, Spiderman, Popeye (he'll get wet), Storm Force Acceletron.

Oops forgot Poseidan's Fury and the Sinbad show if it is open.

If it's cold, the water portions may not be open. Yes, definitely go. The five year old will have a blast there!!!! Seuss landing alone can keep them very, very busy.
