IOA FOR SHORT PEOPLE, lol

I know this might sound like a strange topic, but I am 5 feet tall. In the past, at Great Adventure I had a rough time on certain roller coasters. Since I am short, the roller coasters with the safety bars that come over your shoulders HURT! Every time I would swing side to side...my head would bang into the sides of the bars.

I am sure there are a lot of other short people out there too, lol. What I am trying to find out is if the coasters at IOA are rough or basically a smoothe coaster.

P.S.
Don't laugh at me for asking this...I am laughing at myself enough, lol! Thanks :)

Hi Andrea! I noticed you are realtively new to the DIS Boards so WELCOME!

The Hulk and Dueling Dragons are two/three(however you want count them) smoothest coaster I have ever ridden. The only rough spot I can think of is maybe the beginning of The Hulk. I won't spoil the surprise but it's a "blast!" (ha ha) Have Fun! :D

Thanks for the reply :) I am so excited about going! I'll rough it if I have to...that's the price I pay for being short, lol!!!!

Uh, exCUUUUUSE me!

You happen to be TALLER than me!! :D

I've heard tall people ask, large people ask, and even overly-endowed people ask, but this is my first time hearing a SHORT person ask!!

I haven't had a problem at all with any of the rides at IOA couldn't tell you about the Hulk since I haven't been on it yet. I have tried the seat out front, though. You can try it before venturing on.

Wow, 5 feet is short...? Then I must be a spot on the floor... <IMG SRC="/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif" alt="confused">

I am also only 5 ft tall and just got back from Universal and IOA and had no problems with the coasters. I found them to be very smooth and understand what you mean by head banging. You can find that at MGM on R&R coaster. :D

I'm 5'3" but have long legs, so I'm REALLY short when I sit down! I haven't had any problems on IofA coasters, and I did have a lot a head-banging at Great Adventure. My one piece of advice: No earrings! not even studs, when your ears are at restraint-level.
