I go sometimes after work for an hour or two and went through the toll booths, the hours were posted from 9-5. US was 9-7. Does anyone know why IOA closed so early yesterday?

It might have been reserved by a private group. I went on a free trip business trip last December and we had IOA open for us only one evening.

Major huge convention of International Travel Professionals-

That's why it closed early.

Actually Barry spent some of that $200 million he has and had a private party. Yes, all by himself. He had is own fireworks show and there were twelve popcorn carts open. One refill after another.

I heard, now this part was second hand, that he took home eighteen of the same souvenir cup. Can you imagine what that was about?
:p

Our office is located at less than a mile from IOA/US, and we've heard thunder like noise around 9:45pm Wednesday night. We were wondering what it was. So was it the special fireworks for the convention?? The boom sound was shaking our building, however I didn't go outside to see what it was.
Is that mean we can see some great night show at IOA during the summer??

...I was wondering where all that popcorn came from underneath the Hulk. Geez Barry, you think you could put that stuff down for a minute or two!

The party Wednesday night was for the grand finale of the International POW WOW. Basically the top travel agents and travel companies throughout the world met in Orlando for a huge conference. This is the same conference that had their opening party at Epcot late last week (Epcot closed at 4pm on either Wednesday or Thursday last week). It was a huge deal that Universal was able to land this event at one of their parks.

You wouldn't believe what Universal rolled out for this party. Live animals were brought into POE (to REALLY show the "market" theme), Martini bars in Marvel, Doom Alley became a Cigar lounge, actors/actresses/musicians/and acrobats EVERYWHERE, incredible food displays, and of course the evening ended with the same fireworks display Universal did for New Years Eve! They were even providing tram tours through USF that made stops at MIB and BTTF in case someone wanted to ride! I was incredibly proud to see Universal "blow Disney away" as many guests commented.

I have to say that was the most incredible pyro display I have ever seen. The displays were very well done. Full potential was reached that night.

i think there is only one problem with these parties- bary probably had problems sleeping with all the noice!
