We are visiting IOA and US from 14 December to 28 December and are wondering how the crowds compare to the crowds at Disney. We have read that from about 22 December some of the Disney parks can reach capacity by 11am, is this also true of IOA and US?

We did a split stay this past Christmas (Dec.19-25 at WDW , Dec.25-27 at US/IOA).

I have to say the difference was like night and day for us. US//IOA is not anywhere as crowded as WDW. The lines were not bad at Universal at all. We had the Onsite Express pass and that worked out awesome! Disney was pretty packed and hard to get around in, but still fun!

Hope that helps some!

We were the the 19th of Dec to the 26th and even though (SHOCK) we have never been to Disney I did notice that the 26th the crowds really picked up at Studios by quite a bit, though as long as you stay onsite you shouldn't have any problems with wait times.

Staying onsite is the key here...if you don't, the lines will be extremely long. The week between Christmas and New Years is the busiest week at all of the local parks so plan accordingly.
