My girlfriend and I were at disney for the half marathon on Saturday and did both universal barks on sunday. There were no lines and the weather was perfect. Both of us have little kids and are big disney fanatics so being that it was just us we decided to give universal a try. Boy, were we impressed!

We started at IOA and moved counter clockwise arriving at the park at 11:30am. Here is what we covered;
-walked through entrance area and were impressed by the theming and atmosphere. The place was so clean!
- walked through dr. Seuss land and got in lined or the Seuss train. It wasn't moving do we stepped out of line and continued walking.
-poseidon's tomb tour- we didn't know what to expect but were mildly entertained by the odd battle scene that took place.
- next to Harry potter area we found the dragon coaster closed. Skipped the wand shop and walked onto the Harry potter ride with butter wets in hand. We were blown away by the ride. It was so amazing and zero line so we rode it twice.
-next to Jurassic park land and road the boat. We laughed because we thought it was like disneys dinosaur ride at AK and didn't know it was a boat. Def didn't realize you got wet. The surprise made the ride fun for us and we had a good laugh at the randomness of it.
- I think we did rip roaring falls with Dudley do right. My friend hated me for getting her soaked,
-next we did Spider-Man and thought it was awesome. Skipped hulk because my friend hates coasters. We finished out loop and grabbed lunch near the first land. It was a sit down place and pretty good. we had fskitas, beers and quesadillas. Can't remember the name.

Next we headed to US and went on the following:
-shriek 4d (hated the rumbling of the seats)
- roller rocket coaster
-twister (ugh, miserable!)
-the mummy - this was our longest line at both parks but felt it was worth it. We were both surprised by it and rely had fun with it.
-ET (loved the nostalgia of it)
-krustyland (loved)
-men in black ( fun)
-despicable me (adorable and a great way to end the day!)

We ended up finishing at 7 on the dot do felt like we got our money's worth for a 1 day 2 park ticket. All in all I left being so impressed by the park. I think my kids are too little right now but I look forward to one day coming back. So fun!

Interested to hear how we did. Did we miss anything? Anyone wear a pedometer I the 2 parks? We were pretty sore after running and then walking all day.

Wow! This gives me hope that we might (crowds depending!) be able to see almost everything we want. We're trying the same thing, except we aren't running a half marathon the day before! ;)

You did well, but you missed the shows and some of them are well worth the look-see.There is always next time:goodvibes
