IOA and Citywalk

Hi everyone,

We have a disney trip planned and we are taking one day to go to IOA. When I was looking at the maps of Citywalk and IOA, I realized there is a restaurant/bar called Fat Tuesdays. My husband and I would like to walk over to get a frozen "beverage". (A little history: my dh and I went to ft lauderdale for a quick 1 night vacation away from children in 9 years and we had Fat Tuesdays frozen drinks the entire weekend!)

My question is: Can you go back and forth between City Walk and IOA? How much time would it take to walk over, get a drink, and walk back? Can we take the alcoholic beverage back into IOA? Not sure if we should do it during the middle of the day or wait until the evening. We are going to be there at 9am.

Since this is our first time to IOA, I'm just unsure how long it would take to get through all of the attractions, especially because of the ages of my kids. We will have express passes.

Though it might be worth clarifying that you can BUY alcoholic beverages in the theme parks.

You just are not allowed to transfer a drink from the area it was purchased from into another. (Drinks from the Parks can't be taken into Citywalk. Citywalk drinks can't be taken into the parks). You can walk around within the confines of the section with the drink. (Which is great at Citywalk since you can buy a drink in one club and go walking to your next bar/club or to enjoy the atmosphere with your drink)

You can get some frozen "beverages" around IOA. Ale to the Chief (it's near Ripsaw Falls) sells them. The Watering Hole (JP, near the WWOHP entrance) should as well.

Although its not a frozen beverage, Mythos' Potion of the Gods is a very good alcoholic drink.
