I am curious how many of you have made or are making your invitations? If you are, what program are you using to make them?

If you did not make them yourself, where did/are you ordering them from?

I'm trying to get some ideas and figure out what I want to do. We are also on a budget... soo.. I'm just curious what others have done.. I would love to see pictures or anything you want to share!!

Thanks so much!

We're getting ours from Hallmark cuz they're gonna be like $3/invitation+calling card, and they can be ordered per thing (not like 25=this price, 100=that price). Also, if more are needed, they can print just one more, or however many more are needed afterwards. They give a free mock-up too. O yea, and they give free envelopes. :thumbsup2

Just so you know, we also checked out Papyrus, and what we wanted came out to $500 something.

We made our own invitations. I ordered the pocketfolds and envelopes from Cards and Pcokets, but all of the inserts were made by me.

My sister bought one of those kits from Michael's and thy refer you to an online program to add text. She added embellishments to make it more personal.

Good luck!

i had once made a DIY wedding invitation for my friend's wedding, actually we both made it from the envelop, to the wedding cards we did it with personal touch. we kind of use a metallic silver paper for the card and have a metallic gold for the envelop. we added ribbon on it to tie the envelops in place. actually we google some step by step way on how to make envelops and for the cards, it is the size of a bond paper, we fold it once and glued some lace on the corners of it.

We made our own using envelopements and Photoshop. Even though I drew out the graphics it wouldn't be that hard to search free graphics sites, or in the case of Photoshop, there are tons of free "brushes" with different designs. It cost about $100 for 30, until I added the ribbon (little splurge).

I designed ours in Word and I am having Cards and Pockets print them out. They are printing and cutting them to size on metallic paper. It would have been cheaper to do this myself but it was worth it to me to not have to struggle with my printer. They have been great to work with.

I also ordered paper to make my own pocketfolds since I couldn't find any in the color I wanted.

I used Vistaprint.com and I got a little creative and really personalized it for me. It was really inexpensive and it allowed be to buy the amount i needed and not 100 or even 25 which was too much for an Escape bride like me!

I used Vistaprint for all of the below and was very happy with the quality and options! and free stuff!
