Invitations?

WOW those are beautiful and they look professionally made! You all are really inspiring me!!

Your invites are just beautiful. Did you really print them off yourself and where did you get those great graphics and font. Love the color combo also. I just love seeing everyones invites - makes me want to go home and get more creative with mine.

Linda

Thank you Linda, I did do them myself. I found the font on a free font website....I think it was from www.all-free-fonts.com. It's called "Young Love". I just used Microsoft Word and printed everything on a pretty sparkly paper. The map on the Events card is an artistic map of Disney's Boardwalk Resort, we found it on a Disney maps site online and we altered it just a little in Photoshop. There are also swarovski crystals on our ceremony and reception sites on that map... SBP and the Attic.

The flourish graphic is just a rubber stamp - I think it's by Anna Griffith. I got it from Michael's.

cinderella123 - I'm honestly not sure if there is an online invitation maker or generator. I know that with many wedding invitation sites you can select the invitation you want and preview how your wording will look in it, or you can just order samples. But I think if you want a more custom design, you have to do it yourself or have someone create it and send you a sample.

Are you good with photoshop? It took sometime to take all of their numbers and words out. My DF is hilarious... he noticed the couple in the bottom left and one day when I wasn't around he altered them in photoshop so that they would look like us!

My df's mom is an artist, and she painted a picture of a beach scene using a few examples we gave her. I don't have any pics yet, but I'll post when I do. Now the challenge is to find a printer.

Those are amazing but how did you send them out?

We had an invitation party last year, we invited everyone round for a pre wedding celebration and gave out the invitations, it was so much fun.

Is there some kind of online wedding invitation maker or generator? I'm just looking for a website that will allow me to sort of design my invitations online, and see what I'm designing, and then deside whether or not I want to order them. I know I'm a little early on this, but I just want to really get started. Especially tonight since I don't have a show to do.

This website offers free online virtual proofs with Disney invitations.

I'm using Impressions too! (Shelley is so helpful and nice) They do custom disney invitations for DFTWs. Mine are the silver Mickey Pixie Dust ones, very simple. What we really wanted were the scrolls from at Franks, but those start at $1300 for the 50 that I would need.

the website is www.fairytalewedding.com but they have more examples of the custom stuff at Franks at the WP.

I made mine- am in the process- here's a picture

LOVE your invitations! So nice! I really think your color scheme compliments them well. Want to make mine too ;)

twiu... I LOVE LOVE LOVE your colors! I wanted chocolates and pinks for my wedding, but DF vetoed the pinks, so i changed to chocolate and blue

lov2be@disney... I love yours too. I remember seeing them in your PJ. Are they envelopments too?

I made mine too, using envelopments.

These guys aren't invitations, but they are responsible for making it much more difficult than it should have been. Apparently Dante LOVES sitting on paper...

...and Milhouse (the baby) LOVES stealing paper...

... and Aphrodite (the pug) LOVES eating stolen paper!:scared:

Sorry for the super huge pics. :sad2:

Wow! love these! so chic and contemporary but still have the disney twist. The bookmark/ map is genius! Aww...I want a pug. yours is so cute!

We're having ours made. I have all the time in the world, but I don't have a printer or supplies here on the ship, and after I bought all that stuff... well, I'd prefer to leave it to the pros!

This is what we've decided on.

We used a graphic artist. I don't think I have a copy of the invitation, but here is a picture of our Save the Date.

I love some of you're invites, I tried a while back to make my own and they looked like something my 1 year old daughter had thrown together.

How did you get all your Disney images i.e the castle onto your designs?
Did it take a long time to get the invite formatted onto the size paper you had?

thanxs!!!

I had played around with envelopments too. If you need sample colors, I got swatches for free to decide from textstyledesigns.com There is also a coupon for your paper order, SWATCH5 which takes $5 off $100 or more, or TAKE10 which will take $10 off of $175 or more. Hope that helps someone

While mine wasn't Disney Wedding, I thought I'd share some of mine too. I did all of the "design" work in MS Word and used two stamps for the Ks. I used envelopments but I am actually working on two other sets of invites (one with and one without) using regular 12 x 12 scrapbook paper to make my own "envelopment" of sorts for about a 1/4 of the price. Feel free to PM me with any questions.
