Did you make your invitations or buy them? Are your invitations Disney themed? I would love to see pics of everyones invitations.
Thanks!

We're planning on having ours custom made, we're meeting with an invitations person this weekend but I'm still not sure how much it will wind up costing us. I only need 14 made but it seems like such a huge deal for somebody who doesn't work on crafts ever. :lmao:

I don't have a creative bone in my body (the offer still stands if any DIS ladies want to be paid for my lack of creative effort!! :rotfl:)

I will need 25 and I really wish I was crafty enough to make them too! DH is an artist and is really crafty but I'm not sure I could convince him to make our invites! Hey, can I get in on that offer to any DIS ladies that can make my invites?:lmao:

I am also planning on using the cards and pockets also but in red, white and black.

Absolutely beautiful! That is the style I want(minus the Mickey head cause we have a Cindy/fairytale theme) I remember seeing them on your PJ. I just wouldn't even know where to begin on making those. I love them!!!

Here's mine

I haven't gotten a pic of the outside yet, but I have an orange ribbon that I hotglued onto the pocket and we're sealing it with a wax seal. Got my stuff from cardsandpockets too and the cardstock I got from xpedx (a graphic design/paper store) - I know they have them in different cities.

Just 25? Maybe I can help. Not until after my wedding - but honestly it's not that hard. It seems more overwhelming than it really is. Trust me. And you have time, so go for it! It's definitely cheaper!

Love your colors! We originally were doing similar colors-in fact I'm not sure where blue and silver came from- we are using pink floral though

Those are beautiful. I am also doing the cards and pockets. I recently received some samples and I am trying to play with the spacing. My main concern if the printing and cutting of the inserts that go on the side. We are planning on a red pocket and the inside matted in black with a white invite and white inserts. We are having a red ribbon go around the outside - I purchased it from the Disney store with their Christmas stuff and it has red hidden Mickey's on the red ribbon. I am planning on using velcro circles to keep it closed. This way it can be closed and opened and the seal will not get broken if we use stickers or wax.

twiu... I LOVE LOVE LOVE your colors! I wanted chocolates and pinks for my wedding, but DF vetoed the pinks, so i changed to chocolate and blue

lov2be@disney... I love yours too. I remember seeing them in your PJ. Are they envelopments too?

I made mine too, using envelopments.

These guys aren't invitations, but they are responsible for making it much more difficult than it should have been. Apparently Dante LOVES sitting on paper...

...and Milhouse (the baby) LOVES stealing paper...

... and Aphrodite (the pug) LOVES eating stolen paper!:scared:

Sorry for the super huge pics. :sad2:

Here are all my paper goods. I desgined the folder, the transportation cards, the newsletter and the programs, and I copied the idea for the invitation and announcement - all using QuarkXpress. I got free letterpress printing from a friend who has a stationery business! :thumbsup2

OMG!! They are just beautiful and I love the colors! You are so sweet to think of helping me! I guess I need you all to hold my hand through it all!!:rotfl2: I really think I will make them myself since it is only 25, you're right, I have plenty of time.

So I can get a sample of the paper and play around with it? Where?

:faint: I really can't believe these invites! Holy cow they are so beautiful and unique. I hope I can come up with something as beautiful as the ones posted here. WOW!

I know that at www.cardsandpockets.com you can order samples for not very much money. That's what I did. I think cardstock is cheaper if you buy them at a paper store (such as xpedx, sam flax, etc) - just look it up online. You have more control over sizes and such with that.

I'm very fortunate though because I work at an in-house advertising/marketing agency. I work in video but am surrounded by graphic designers. But honestly, it's a lot easier than you think. If you have an idea of the inserts/ wording/ colors, etc... I can help you put it together and email them to you as a pdf. But again, I can get you started and then my wedding will be around the corner. But seriously, get an idea, order the samples, then we'll chat. I'd really love to help out. I just have to be realistic with time and such. I'm done with my invites (well, one.. now I have to do 99 more) but then I have to get started on my programs and welcome letters. These boards made me crafty. I honestly was going to pay for everything when I got engaged and then I found these boards! Thank you all for saving me hundreds of dollars! Now hopefully I can have open bar  :rotfl2:

Your invites are just beautiful. Did you really print them off yourself and where did you get those great graphics and font. Love the color combo also. I just love seeing everyones invites - makes me want to go home and get more creative with mine.

I'm starting to think this could be pretty big business for us non-crafty types. :lmao:

I'm not crafty either, but the only way I would start with invitations for 25 would be to buy enough stuff to make 200! :rotfl2:

Then I would still have my fingers crossed.

Gosh I'm sure Martha Stewart has some sort of templates or kits for doing this sort of thing for us craft challenged girls.

Is there some kind of online wedding invitation maker or generator? I'm just looking for a website that will allow me to sort of design my invitations online, and see what I'm designing, and then deside whether or not I want to order them. I know I'm a little early on this, but I just want to really get started. Especially tonight since I don't have a show to do.

Here is mine, which I made as well. They really aren't as hard as you think if you have a decent printer and a good paper cutter. I made them all using Microsoft Word and changing the page size. I did end up needing more ribbon as what I wanted changed after I started. All the blue paper had a really nice sparkle
