Hey all, I wondered what you are supposed to put for the address of the Wedding Pavilion, and also the Atlantic Dance Hall...do you just put Disney Wedding Pavilion or is there a street address? And secondly, I wanted to have the invitation say 'In the spirit of the magic that brought us together' but my parents are hosting so would I put 'In the spirit of the magic that brought them together?' Howard & Joyce request the honor of your presence....but then it sounds like it's talking about my parents....any suggestions?! :goodvibes

Maybe try, In the Spirit of the magic that brought OUR children together? DO you have room for that? I had my wedding at the Pavilion and then at the Atlantic Dance Hall...I did not put an address...i did something like the Wedding Pavilion at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, Walt Disney World Resort...everyone knows, and they are going to be on property or close by anyway:) did you do the save the dates?

Ok- invitation address wording. We used:

Walt Disney World's Wedding Pavilion
Orlando, Florida

On the reception cards:
The celebration continues with
dinner and dancing
at Disney's Yacht Club Resort

Black-tie

We sent out newsletters to our guests with directions and information about the location and how to get to the Pavilion. We hired the motor coaches for the night, so we didnt' worry about the Yacht Club information. You may want to send a newsletter or supply information in a welcome basket (if you're doing them) about the location of the Atlantic Dance Hall and how to get there from the Pavilion.

Second issue- invitation wording itself...
I would go with the "In the spirit that brought their children together..."

And a reminder- becuase you're not in a church, your invitation should read, "Request the pleasure of your company," and not, "Request the honour of your presence." "Honour of your presence," is reserved for consecrated houses of worship. The Wedding Pavilion is non-denominational and hasn't been consecrated.

Where are you getting your invitations? Which design are they? Read through them three or four time (out loud, too!) to catch any mistakes!

In the spirit of the magic that brought us together,we, John and Jane along with our parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Brown and Mr. and Mrs. Adam Smith invite you to our wedding nupitals at The Wedding Pavilion, The Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, etc.

then the reception card would read ie, Reception and Dinner to follow at The Atlantic Dance Hall, The Boardwalk Resort, 2101 N Epcot Resorts Boulevard, Lake Buena Vista, Florida 32830.

For our invitation, we used this text:

Disney's Wedding Pavilion
Walt Disney World
Lake Buena Vista, Florida

For our reception card, we used the following:

Disney's Grand Floridian Ballroom
Whitehall Room and Patio

Shelley from Impressions helped me out with all of the text--she is WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Street addresses are kind of useless when you are navigating Disney...it's much easier for guests to just follow all of the signs. Streets aren't very clearly marked--for instance, nearly all of my guests found it easier to just follow signs to the BoardWalk (for our dessert party), rather than attempting to follow normal street directions.
