Hi guys...

Im hoping someone can help... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP!

I am getting married at the pavilion and having the reception at the boardwalk with approx 100 guests. Most of my guests are staying at the All-Star and Carribean Beach, so I am curious as to what, if at all, past brides have placed in the invitations when it comes to maps and directions to ceremony and reception sites??? Is it necessary to use these? I need to get all this stuff together asap, and i am sooo lost! All of the invitations i have received come with this stuff, but i thought since it is very easy to navigate around disney (or else i think so, but ive been there so many times), i wasnt sure if it was needed...

Can someone help me on this? If someone has some examples that would be great to!

Thanks
Jamie

We provided transportation via a bus that picked up at each of our resorts and then took everyone to the ceremony, then after the staged exit DH and I stayed for photos while everyone else took the bus to the reception, where we caught up with them. It was not like the theme park bus, it was a luxury coach, padded seats and such, and we asked WDW floral to put some decor in there, which they gladly did. In our case it was initially because for our reception site you needed transportation (you can't drive to the VIP Lounge at Living Seas), but in the end I would have done it no matter what, to simplify the parking issues.

If you elect to have everyone drive themselves, I would see if you can get a property map and then mark the route and landmarks for each site to make it easier for those guests driving around. You might ask your EM for a "transportation guide" which should have one, or check in any of your guidebooks - I believe the Official Guide has a complete property map that could be copied and labeled. It can be confusing to get around, unless you know the "Resort Area" you are trying to reach.

We also had 100 guests attend our Wedding from NY and everyone drove. I definitely recommend a map and directions for all guests. We had a party at home for everyone a few weeks before the Wedding to get everyone together and give them directions and tell them our itinerary but I wish we had also given them a map with directions. We did have one couple park in the Magic Kingdom parking lot and take the monorail to the Wedding Pavilon (oops) and they were not happy.

Thank you.. Where can I find a map of disney without asking my EM. I need to get this done asap, b/c the invitations are going out on jan 3... im soooo confused and lost!!!!!!
