Invitation in a bottle

Has anyone tried the birthday invitations in a bottle? I would love to do them, but not sure what to do. Can the bottles and corks be bought somewhere?

I have found some online to order that are already made, but they are skulls/ crossbones...our theme is Captain Jack Sparrow so it goes along, but not exactly what I was looking for. The plates, cups, cake- everything is Captain Jack, as he is my soon to be 4 year olds hero.

Also, does anyone have any Captain Jack Sparrow invitations, tags for the bottles etc. that I could be directed to? Thanks for any help in advance.

I haven't seen any invitations in a bottle, but these days you can buy anything so you might try a google search for them.

I can do an invitation if no one else responds. Howerver I am going out of town and won't return for a week. If it can't wait start a new thread calling it Pirate Invitations and I am sure someone will jump on it. Penny

Oriental Trading (online) has several types of make-your-own message in a bottle. I've used them before for a riddle/hunt. They are lightweight, plastic, and make for an easy open at the bottom. Here are two that might go with your theme:

I made my own for a Neverland Party that I threw for my little one when he turned 3. I made them by collecting wine bottles. Then I removed the original label and added my own. The sparkling grape juice bottles with twist top lids also work great!
