i am in the process of planning and just wondered if anyone knew the price of the meal at inventions and is it worth it? also do you get a lot of character interaction for this, thanks

Just to make you aware that there are no characters at the lunch buffet apart from Sundays when they do a Sunday brunch

I love having dinner at Inventions ~ the food is yummy and the character interaction has always been excellent. It is expensive, there's no denying that, but we think it's worth it. I'm trying the Sunday Brunch for the first time next month (which is a bit dearer again at €59) and am really looking forward to that.

I booked it as a special (ex) family meal (don't ask!) and thought that it was well worth the high price. Its a good excuse to roam and peek inside the Disney Hotel and look at the display cabinets near the shop full of stuff that you don't see in the shops in the park.

Firstly, book for when it just opens at 6PM because your waiter will have more time for you and the characters have more time to spend with each table, and they will come to your table. Mickey, Pluto, Chip/Dale, Mr Mistopheleas (?) on rotation.

Plus, if you get in first, you can choose your table by the window with a view over the park.

There is a huge array of food over 5 tables. Cold entrees, salads, sea food, mains and a special dessert trolley with sweets AND fruit

They do a decent 20th anniversary labelled house wine. The rose was pretty decent and I know my rose ;-) and the kids stuck to water.

sorry jump in but will the sunday brunch still be running in feb. as we had planned on going wed- sun but might go thur-mon instead now.

20€ ;)

The rosé is a Grenache, the white a Chardonnay and the red a Merlot

Need to show pictures when i am back home with characters and the cake ... hopefully with Mickey himself LOL

On the phone the lady asked us if we really wanted one as it was for 4-6 and we were just 2 but i replied OF COURSE lol:rotfl:

Will diet when i am back - as i will have no more money for food then :rotfl::lmao:

I know its not right but ive read somewhere that under 3's eat free at inventions, my little one is 3 a couple of days before we go so would they check her age and if not could save myself 30 odd euros

ive posted this on another thread but got no replies, my youngest is 3 the week before we travel, i just wondred when booking inventions if i could pass her off as still been two and save myself 32e in the process and would they check her age (i know this is wrong)

To be honest I'm doubtful that they'd check but keep in mind that if they call you on it you'll have to be prepared to be embarassed! Personally I wouldn't - I learnt my lesson when I tried to pass our DS off as ypunger than he is get cheap entry into somewhere, they asked his age and I said 'three' DS very loudly protested that no, he wasn't three, he was a big four year old!

I think it's highly unlikely they'd ask for proof of age but I think they will ask her age (if only to know how to prepare your bill).

BTW, I've merged this into the original thread. :)

We rang again two days ago to anticipate the time of our dinner from 7 to 6 and they found our booking no problem and changed it for 6.
Then asked my name and how old was i (nosey!) when they realized it was a birthday dinner (from the cake i suppose lol).
Does it mean they will put name and number on the cake? Or they will just get ready to sing the right song LOL
