Any news on the Sunday Brunch for July/August?:confused3

If you call dining reservation they can tell you the theme for the respective weekend. They will know about a month in advance. So the July themes should be known and the August ones would be upcoming. Maybe they can already tell you the first ones.

Yesterday was Autour du Monde (around the world) as will the 5th of August according to a post I saw on DCP forum

They also say that the

8/7 is Alice
15/7 is Rapunzel
22/7 is Italien
29/7 is Parisien

and then again

12 août: Alice
19 août: Italien
26 août: Parisien

I'd check with the central to be sure though when you want to make your reservation :goodvibes

Parisien? Ratatouille characters possibly?

Looking at previous ones it's the usual Mickey/Minnie/Donald/Goofy/Chip/Dale in chefs outfits :confused3

The one in May should have had Remy/Emile according to the CM's but they didn't show (no reason given as usual)so your guess is as good as mine :goodvibes

Do the evening buffets have a theme? Wish we had gone a few days earlier so we could have been there for the Alice theme!

So I am assuming when we were there in Feb it was a Rapunzel theme, and not Valentines!

Not as far as I know, it's the Sunday Brunch that has the themes but Vala would know for sure I bet ;)

Feb was special Valentines but looking at pics and reading reports Raiponce brunch is not that different :goodvibes

Thanks Carrie.

Would love to have done the Alice one, Rosebug is Alice mad!

You're right, there's no themes at dinner apart from that Mickey always seems to be there.

I've just phoned and they confirmed the Sunday Brunch themes detailed above ^ ^ so we will be Italian. Initially I was a tad disappointed that it won't be Hawaiian with Lilo and Stitch (I expect you're yawning by now Carrie as I know you don't do characters :lmao: ) but soon got a bit more enthusiastic as I'm hoping I may FINALLY get to meet Jiminy Cricket.

Obviously they wouldn't confirm the characters but I'm guessing it will be from Pinocchio, Gepetto and Gideon and please please :worship: Jiminy Cricket.

I'm fed up of DH asking every night if I've booked our meals yet (he's permanently locked into WDW ADR mode) so now that we're into July I think I might book them in the next day or two.

The evening meals are not themed - I wish.

I've posted a review about the Italian one, Ware Bears. It had Jiminy Cricket indeed. Also present were Gepetto, Pinocchio, Mickey and Minnie in their Stars N Cars outfits (why these were considered Italian I so don't know) and Chip and Dale in sparkly vests. Boyfriend was suspecting a John Travolta disco theme connection to Italy there. ;)

Thanks Vala, I can't believe I missed your review! LOL at the John Travolta connection! :rotfl:

Oh I do hope Jiminy is there for us too - he looks so adorable and I've wanted to meet him for ever! I've never managed it at either WDW or DLP so I was half-hoping for DL next year but if he's at our brunch it will be perfect! :cloud9:

The food looked extremely yummy too. ::yes::

Jiminy is not out at DL. He's in the Christmas Parade, but I've never met him besides that. Your best chance is at Raifiki's Planet Watch in WDW. I was quite happy too we found him in Paris. Like you I expected Gideon to show. No offense against Gideon, but I've seen him a couple of times.

The food was really good. I was wondering if they'd forcibly remove DBF from the place in the end. He seemed quite happy there. ;)

These sound great :)

We've only ever arrived later on a Sunday as try and miss the weekends and go midweek where possible. We are however there on a weekend for our November trip but we have to leave 1 pm on the Sunday :sad2:, so it doesn't seem worth it to pay for a lot for something that I'm guessing probably doesn't start until about 12 noon? Having said that, if it was a particular theme we were mad about, an hour is better than nothing :lmao:.

Does anyone know the times it starts please? So, in October we could ring and find out November themes... hmmm.

Thank you :goodvibes

I know this has probably been asked a thousand times before but how much is the brunch? For our trip next February we're trying to decide whether or not to arrive do Saturday - Wednesday to take advantage of the slightly longer opening times at the weekend or Monday - Friday. If we do the Saturday arrival, we might be tempted to do the brunch.

58€ adults - 28€ child if it's not gone up again :)

I am seriously thinking of amending our flight time to the later flight on the Sunday (we could then make the brunch, and we will have so much more time on the Sunday ).... Not sure what I was thinking of when I originally booked the flights - think it was the fact we'd get back very late from the late flight and the girls have to go to school the next day and face a full, busy week....

Thank you :) I've not got any plans to go back to WDW in the foreseeable future so will keep my fingers crossed for the brunch. :wizard:

Sounds just like my DH! ;)

I'd try and change my flight times so long as it's not going to cost you much ..... I was a bit disappointed we missed the brunch last year as although we arrived on a Sunday we came by Eurostar so arrived a bit too late so I made sure we would be there this year. :goodvibes

A lot of men are like that, aren't they? ;) I somewhat expected a fit when Minnie left, but he just checked his watch and went: "Oh, we can wait. It's half an hour only, isn't it?" and then trodded off to the dessert buffet again.

Then the server probably out of habit handed him the bill and not me... and no fit there either. Was somewhat unexpected I have to admit. :rolleyes1

Thanks Carrie :goodvibes

If it doesn't cost you too much yeah, I'd change the flights. The brunch is a very nice treat, kind of like the tea you did during this trip. And who knows, you may be lucky and catch the Rapunzel theme.

I had to forfeit it once due to train times in December when I really had to go back to be at work Monday morning. Then the train had a delay and I could have gone, but they didn't accept walk ups that day. Grrr.

Thanks Carrie :goodvibes

We go the same weekend as you and our train leaves for home at around 6pm. We won't get home til 10 ish and my poor little girls will be going to school the next day ;) And me to work!

I'm tempted by this brunch now, especially if there's a chance it'll be Rapunzel, my DD's new favourite princess!

I'm actually lucky and will catch the Rapunzel brunch on my trip for the pin trading event. I'll make sure to post a review in the Inventions thread.
