Introductions!

Been on the board since August so i guess i'll introduce myself finally.

Me: i am 24 yrs young (25 next month). Currently a college student majoring in Mathematics. I have only been to disney once...thanks to DF and his family. I am itching to go back.

DF: he is 22 yrs young. Also a college student majoring in music education. He has been to Disney 2. Both times with family.

Wedding: Friday June 4, 2010 nears his hometown of Newport, KY (literally across the river from Cincinnati, OH). My family lives 4 hours south of there so hopefully most of them will make the trip. We having about 125-175 people.

Honeymoon: 2 weeks at disney either staying at the Contemporary or the animal kingdom lodge. This will be our first trip being just us. After the honeymoon we will be moving into an apartment in the area of our college.

Me: Heidi, 33 year old living in Germany. I've been in the Army for 11 years as a helicopter pilot flying primarily Blackhawks (but currently Hueys)

DH: Tom, 32 y.o. currently in Iraq . He's a gun-bunny Apache pilot and has been in for 9 years.

Proposal: we worked backwards. We decided to get married during an IM conversation when I was in Iraq. Then, we planned to get married by proxy while I was still in Iraq and do a Wishes wedding on his R&R. Then, I found out I was coming home a little early, so we did an Escape wedding while planning our Wishes Wedding. (He officially proposed the day I got home). THEN we bought The Ring

We were married (in a pseudo-elopement, although everyone knew we were planning the "legal" thing early) at Sunset Pointe on June 13, 2008. Then, we had our Wishes wedding with our family and friends on Jan 19th, 2009 at the WP with a reception at Narcoossee's, a welcome dinner (night before) at Italy Isola, and a DP after the wedding at Sago Cay.

Me: Almost 24, graduate student (MSc Rural Planning and Development), and hopefully part of the working world soon!

DF: Currently a land surveyor, but going back to school (same program as me)

Location: Ontario, Canada

Engaged: Feb, 2009

Wedding Plans????
We thought we knew exactly what we wanted. We took our first trip together christmas 2008, which was a WDW. It was soooooooo much fun, and while we were there, we saw people getting married, which sparked the idea. We had planned for an escape wedding at SBP, but quickly realized we were well over the 18 people.

Than we changed to a wishes wedding. We again wanted SBP, the Attic for the reception, and an Epcot dessert party. Now, we are confused again. A few family members want us to get married in Canada, and don't like the idea of us doing it in another country (even though plenty pf people do). They also seem to be more willing to give us more money to do it here. We really want to do it in WDW, however, that would be our honeymoon too, and we REALLY do not want to see either of our families on our honeymoon.

So, now we are between a wishes wedding, or an at home wedding with a WDW honeymoon.

Me: 28, Marketing Assistant/Artist

DF: 28, Professor

Both of us are super Disney fans, I'm actually a former CM, and DF's dream is to work for Pixar. When we decided to get married, there was no question Disney would be involved somehow!

We will be having a DCL ceremony 12/8/09. Our families have been to WDW a million times, but never on DCL, so it will be a fun expirence for all! I am also hoping to infuse some of that the extra "Holiday Magic" with a December wedding!

Me: Jamie...22 work for my mom at a gas station...(still in school) I have been to Disney World 31x and Land 2x times.

DF: Cory...23: works for Hospira...He moves trucks around the country. been to Disney uh 8xs

Daughter: Madyson...2 and half and been to Disney 8xs.

We got engaged in sept. at Disney
