Hi there!

My name is Elizabeth and I am new to the forums. I am a Disney(land) addict. Since going to Disney for the first time when I was 2, I've been back at least 10+ times. My best friend and I have been taking annual vacations to Disneyland for the past two years and are really hoping that this can become a lifelong tradition.

I really have no idea whether I'm posting my question in the right board or not, but hopefully if I'm not someone will redirect me!... and since this is an intro board, I thought this was the most appropriate place to post.

I am interested and always have been interested in working for Disneyland. I graduated last year with my BA in Psychology and I'm currently working on my second degree in Education. I want to know more about working in Disneyland and getting a professional internship of some sort to work in the parks for a few months. If not a professional internship, then just a job (working as a ride attendant, cashier, food, anything really!) I've looked into the college program already, but by the time I apply for that, I will be finished school.

I am a Canadian citizen, and I know it would probably be difficult to get a working visa of any sort without even a job offer, but working in Disneyland has always been a dream of mine and next year seems like the perfect time to make it a reality. When I was in Disneyland last month, I asked about careers or jobs that accept international people, but I didn't get many answers, which is why I decided to turn to the DIS Boards. Ideally, I would love to work within the education field since that is what I am going to school for, but even having some sort of internship where I could just work in the parks for a few months would be amazing as well.

Thank you in advance for your help - I look forward to talking to you all more! Nice to meet you!

Make sure you check the Disney Careers webpage frequently. Internships come up all of the time. You may also look into the College Program or possibly trying to get your foot in the door by getting into the program that hosts Canadians working at the Canada Pavillion in EPCOT. IT's not our Disneyland, but it's a start. Once you get in to Disney, moving around inside the machine isn't too hard. It's the getting in that is the rough part and interns have the best access.

A lot of DL cast members post on the Disneyland Board, so you might want to head over there.

Welcome to the DIS and I hope your dream comes true! See you out here in DL!

Thank you for the information! I think I will definitely head over to the disneyland boards and see what further insight I can gain there... in the meantime, I have signed up for professional internships newsletters and will be keeping an eye out on the website!

Welcome to the above posters as well!

Hello Elizabeth and :welcome: to disboards! I agree it would be awesome to work at Disney, that is also a long time goal of my Husband. Best of luck with school and searching for your Disney job, I would also look at Epcot/Canada, of even call someone at the Disney University and maybe they could direct you in the area you need to look. Have a Magical Day! pixiedust:
