Not "originally" no. I grew up in a little town outside Buffalo, NY and then relocated for work in 1999 to Birmingham, AL. During the 6 years I spent there I became a huge Alabama (football) fan, hence the reason for the name.

Oh well, I guess we Auburn fans won't hold that against you!
