Into the 500's!!!

I just wanted to say that we have now entered the 500's! Yep!! Down to 599 days until we leave for our 4th trip to the World I know to some people that probably feels like eternity but we havent been in 7 years and to know we are going again FINALLY makes me soooo happy The time is actually going by pretty fast too, so thats a huge plus! Just needed to share my excitement

I totally understand! Before one of our trips I had a countdown of over 1500

It does seem like forever but it will go by fast plus it's nice to have something to look forward to. I started my count down at 306 days and I though it would never come but now we are under 2 weeks! This is the time for me that's been dragging by, the last month.

Countdown over 1500, WOW!!! My husband would think i absolutely lost my mind if i did that. He thinks i'm nuts now, but his planning is "tell me the night before we leave, so i can pack". It actually is going fast thank god, and yes it is nice to cross off a date on the calender everyday and announce to the family how many days are left I simply cannot wait to get there tho

This thread has me curious: Why do a good number of people book their trips that far in advance? Is it generally because time is needed to save for the trip, or because the family can't all go on vacation until then, or something else? I'd personally go crazy if I had to wait that long after deciding I wanted to take a trip.

Lol, my husband does that too. I keep asking "don't you want to know what park we are doing each day and where all our ADR's are? And what days are pool days?!" "Ummm...no babe, you got it planned out, just tell me where to be when". Thank goodness for the Happy Dance board!

Yes, my husband doesnt care what park what day either, lol, all he cares about is when we are eating. He does everything with us but he doesnt get all excited about it like i do!! He just says "ok, whats next, what are we doing now" lol..and as to why plan so far ahead, i dont know about everyone else but we went 2002, 2004 and 2006 so we were only out 2 years which i think is about normal for us who live far away or cant afford to go too often. We do have to save that long to afford to go so that would be the main reason then i guess. We havent been in 7 years because we just really couldnt afford it but we recently paid off my vehicle and a loan my husband had out so now we have a little extra to use for vacation!! We would go this year perhaps but our daughter is getting married in August and thats enough planning for this year We really dont mind the wait as long as we know WE ARE GOING!!!
