Out of these 4 (Ohana, California Grill, Citricos, Narcoossee's), which would you pick for your post-wedding celebration and why????? Or are there other's you would prefer? :) :) :) OR if you are already married, where did you go??

we were going to go to citricos but it's closed on mondays. then we decided to do something a little more fun. we aren't really fancy dinner people anyways and it is just the 2 of us so we are going to go to 1900 park fare.

Well...we went to California Grill (and that's what I voted) but for us it was a huge disappointment and waste of a good chunk of change.

I've only heard a few "bad reviews" of CG so I don't think the problem was with the restaurant so much as we just really were out of our element. We felt dumb having to ask the waiter what the menu items REALLY were (lots of fancy names for stuff). And then, the food was just really not to our liking. DH is a real meat and potatoes type guy who loves a good steak. The only steak option was a filet and that is definitely not big enough for him.;) I am more chicken and veggies type and whatever I ordered was just seasoned with something that just really didn't do anything for me. We didn't even finish our dinner and were so disappointed (and tired) that we left before dessert.

The restaurant itself was lovely. Noisy, but very beautiful. And we were seated at a window so we could watch Wishes (that was probably the best part of the meal:rotfl: ).

CG is highly recommended by many folks, so please don't judge it on my view. I would seriously suggest that you check the menus of the places you are considering and see if there is stuff on there you will eat. If you are more "adventurous" in your eating then the world is literally wide open for you!!

Good luck and have fun making your choice!!

Citricos Chef's Domain for us. I wanted a private room, and it had the best variety in its menu.

It was just perfect for us! :thumbsup2

We had dinner after our intimate at Ohana for 20 people. My husbands family is not originally from this country, and they like grilled meats. So I figured that would work well for them. And because of the variety, I figured my family and our friends would like it also. It was a big hit! We had a great time.

Yeah, ForKeeps, your TR was great!!! Chef's Domain seems like a wonderful choice... we will be 20 people though, so we won't fit... unfortunately!!

We had our dinner at Citricos Chef's Domain. :thumbsup2 It was wonderful! The food, the ambience and the service was impeccable. I wanted something a little more private and and the Chef's Domain fit the bill! I did love the whole look and feel of the entire restaurant and the menu had something for everyone. We are going back this year on our 1 year anniversary:banana:   (not to the CD though).

We are going with California Grill for our reception, but it will be a lunch so we get one of the private rooms.

I also love the idea of O'Hana's so we are doing that the night before for our "rehearsal dinner".

Well our wedding is at 10.00am, and we are having lunch at Citricos, it was going to be The Grand Floridian Cafe but it will be standing in for 1900 Park Fare when we go so, Citricos is taking over.
For dinner though we are going to V & A, when I saw pictures of the place and the menu, I knew it was the place I wanted to have my Wedding meal. We don't normally eat at restaurants like that, but every review I have read is wonderful. Plus the dining room looks so romantic, esp with the harp player. We are going to have the Chef's Menu as we want to be able to try everything, there are loads of things on that menu that we haven't tried and we figured, since it's our wedding we wanted to splash out and have a truly memorable meal. I'm really looking forward to it:)

I voted "Other" because we dined at Victoria & Albert's.
Yes, it is expensive, but it was our Wedding Day and the full dining experience was just so appropriate. You are trully treated like a Prince/Princess* (Delete as appropriate...lol). You have Butlers rather than Waiters and the service is just perfect....and the food....Wow ! 7 courses - you get to choose one item from each course and can have a Wine Pairing where the experts have chosen a Wine that is perfectly matched to each of the dishes that you have chosen.

It isn't really an option if you are on a budget, but well worth considering if you really want to spoil yourselves on your big day.

The ONLY down-side was that we tied the knot at 2pm and the first sitting was 5pm, so we had a bit of time to kill, but we just sat in the foyer of the Grand Floridian and had drinks from their Pool Bar......lovely !!

We have chosen Ohanas because we have 4 children in our party and wanted something a little less formal and fun.

I'm also doing Ohanas because there are two little kids that will be coming and I wanted something fun for them and also something relaxed and casual for the rest of us... I've heard the food is great and I like the idea of sitting a big tables together (though I know we won't all be able to sit together)... I think it's a good atmosphere to encourage talking with each other and just having a good time!

I voted "other" because we had a private dinner just the two of us in our room. It was very romantic to spend that time with my new husband alone :cloud9:

We did brunch the next day with everyone at the wedding (plus some extra people!) at Whispering Canyon Cafe, it was fun, good food, and everyone had a good time.

We chose the Liberty Tree Tavern in the Magic Kingdom for our dinner. We thought it would be fun for us and our 5 nieces and nephews. We would see characters and afterwards see the fireworks. We went to dinner there last year and loved it. :cutie:

We had our dinner at Yachtsman Steakhouse and it was fablous. We had custom menu's with all the prices removed so our guests could order whatever they wanted. We were seated in the back and truthfully, I hardly noticed any other guests in the restaurant until it was time to leave.

Hindsight is 20/20...and this is probably what I would choose! So much fun!! This was our favorite meal!:rotfl:

Voted "Other." We are going to Chef Mickey's because we are a small group and really just want to have a fun time. Nice thing about the buffet is the fact that my dad (who wanted to pay for the reception part of the wedding) knows pretty much exactly what the bill will be. We are going to get a couple bottles of champagne, but other than that people will have to pay for their own alcoholic beverages.

Also, we can wear our wedding attire and get pictures with the characters (without having to pay $700). Most other character meals are in the parks where we cannot wear our wedding attire.

We were going to go to 1900 Park Fare but I changed my mind and now we are going to O'hanas. I thought it would be fun and not too formal. Now I'm thinking Chef Mickeys would've been better. I would have liked to get pics with some characters in our wedding attire. I wonder if there's anywhere else I can do that now, without changing my ADR again?
