Hi! For budget purposes and to try to apease the family (check the skeptical family thread) I am considering an intimate wedding instad of a custom. I heard the max. number is 20, but does include the bride and groom? Also, do children count (we will have three nephews under 5)?

Yup, the max is 20 and that number does include the bride & groom (so really only 18 guests). When I talked to sales (last week) @ WDW wed, they basically said if the person is born, they are considered a person (I was being a bit of a smart-alek when I asked about my possibly by that time pregnant sister). So your nephews WOULD count towards that 18.

Makes me want to consider a custom (that is until I look at the $$$ for a Friday wedding!!).

KerTggr is right...18 guest plus bride and groom and EVERYONE is counted (including babies).

However, some ceremony locations restrict you even more...for example, if you want to be married at Sunset Point (@ the Poly) you can only have 10 guests (including bride and groom). I think Sunrise Terrace might have a restriction too, but I'm not sure.

At any other location, you're fine with 20.

The children will propbably be bored during the wedding, I hate to say, but as long as their parents are staying at Disney, each hotel has babysitting. Then if you want to do something after the wedding like a Dessert Party or dinner, then you bring the kids. Just an idea

We planned on doing that with my sister's DS, 8 and DD, 6 because I knew they would be bored and disruptive at the ceremony. We had an Intimate to keep it quiet and private, and having them there would not have fit with that ;) In the end, my sister left them with their father so she could have a mini-vacation without them :rotfl:
