Intimate wedding/VR with no guests?

Has anyone had an intimate wedding or vow renewal with only themselves and their spouse (no other guests present)? DH and I would like to do this for our vow renewal, to evoke the "eloping" feeling that we didn't get with our wedding. However, I'm worried that it'll look silly to have a cake and all for... just the two of us. How is the "reception" handled when there's no one there? LOL.. maybe I'm overthinking this, but I'd like to hear how other TRULY Intimates did it! Thanks...

i'm not sure but i think you can have a ceremony with just the two of you. i'll look in my disney weddings book that we got online to double check for you.

i couldn't find anything about having only the two of you at an intimate ceremony. if you already have the disney weddings video, why not take a look at that and see if they say anything. if you don't have the video, get it online at disneyweddings.com

I'm pretty sure Disney will do an intimate for just the two of you, but I don't think the package prices are very adjustable. If you're worried about the cost, another alternative, although not Disney, but Disneyesque could be the Celebration Hotel in the town of Celebration. I think this town is called the official Disney town or something like that. I'm not sure if it still has affiliations with Disney. They have a "Just for Two" Intimate package starting at $2100. I'm not sure if this is what you want, just a thought.

I just talked to Maxine (our EM) today and she said that many people get married at Disney without any guests. I think it would truly be an "intimate" wedding then! Very romantic.
