Intimate Wedding - Invitations?

For you brides who had or will have an intimate wedding, did you send out invitations or just invite people verbally?

I sent out invitations and save the dates, but everyone was invited verbally first, and we knew already they were all coming. I did the invites and save the dates for me mostly, my mom's making a wedding scrapbook, and you can't have that without the invitation right. I think it's really up to you what you do. If you want to take the time and money to do them go for it, but if it's not important to you then just go with a verbal invite or a little note card with a simple note inside.

If you don't want to order alot of invitations, there is a girl on the board that can help you. Her name here is JennyCee and she is a graphic artist. It is cheaper for me to do the invitations and save the date through her so I don't end up with alot left over that I don't need. I upgraded to a custom from an intimate and I am still going to use her. Her prices are a bit cheaper than what you can find in books, and she can customize stuff so that you like it.

We verbally told eveyrone right away. I hand-made our invitations - all 4 of them - lol! I also made a welcome/itinerary letter that went out with the invite. I had fun making them - they didn't look professional by any stretch, but everyone thought they were pretty HTH!

We verbally told everyone and then e-mailed them an invitation. It was family only so they would have been upset had we spent money on 7 invites. Then we did announcements that were sent out from the hotel right after and we sent those to everybody.

I found a website that will make disney themed invitations... you can order 1 or 100 its up to you.... we only ordered 5 with response cards for about $9.00 (not incl shipping)... I'll have to find the website for you. I think its impressions but I could be wrong....(or they are affiliated with them). Then we made on our own - Dinsey planning packets with a newsletter, info on hotels, park tickets and special events...

We are going to send out invitations for our intimate wedding, I am going to send an invitation to each person so they feel special and know that they are invited.

Not only did I purchase a diy kit from Target, since they came in packs of 50 for less than $20.00, I purchased one kit and used the response cards for my save the dates.

I'm mailing the invites shortly and will use the other response cards to get their confirmation info.

By the way, we are having a post-celebration a week after our return and I just recently went back to Target to purchase additional invitation kits and they were on sale for $4.00! I also purchased program kits to make our wedding day and post-celebration programs. They look very elegant and professional!

As we are travelling from UK we already know who is coming. We spoke to our family and friends when we first decided to get married at Disney to see who would/could come with us. We have bought some mickey and minnie invitations and mickey stamps which we are going to get delivered to everyone's hotel rooms once we arrive in Florida. We thought it would be nice for everyone to have one to keep.

I hand made our invitations...6 actual invites for our intimate wedding. Plus I sent announcements with invitations to our 2 receptions (which one depending upon guests location).

I loved our announcements and invitations. I used plain white invitation card stock with silver edging. Printed them with black ink on my computer, then added a top layer of tracing paper which I handstamped with silver hearts. I attached these with silver heart brads at the top. The writing on the cards showed through the heart paper. They were very pretty and inexpensive...no one knew I hadn't ordered them!

Bluedisneygill- I am also from the UK and am looking for some Minnie & Mickey wedding invitations for our intimate wedding, but can't find any, where did you get yours if you dont mind me asking?

The invitations wea re using for our wedding day we got from e-bay. I found them by chance a few months ago. They are cream with mickey and minnie on them. For our reception when we get home from disney a friend of mine drew mickey and minnie in wedding attire and we have used this drawing to make our invitastions, it was a lot of work but they look great and have also saved us lots of money.
